Unísono: Dios santo,
no podemos comprender totalmente que te hiciste uno
de nosotros/as,
para salvarnos del pecado y de la muerte
y para llevarnos a la vida abundante.

Te damos gracias, Señor, porque nos diste la Palabra.
Por la palabra entran en diálogo nuestras almas, por la palabra entramos en diálogo
contigo.
Te damos gracias porque a través de nuestras palabras podemos construir puentes
hacia otras personas.
Te damos gracias porque podemos decir:
te amo, te quiero, te aprecio, eres importante para mí.
Te damos gracias porque podemos decir:
está todo bien, te perdono, empecemos de nuevo.
Nuestra alma no podría «decirse» si la palabra le fuese robada. Te damos gracias por
todas aquellas palabras que nos han dicho nuestras hermanas y hermanos, que nos
han alentado, otras veces corregido en amor, y otras que nos han demostrado que
no estamos en soledad con nuestros problemas. Te damos gracias porque cuando
creaste al ser humano le diste esa posibilidad de hablar.

Tú mismo no eres un Dios mudo, sino un Dios a quien le encanta comunicarse. Lo

hiciste cuando creaste el universo y todo lo que existe. Lo hiciste cuando tu palabra
de amor se hizo carne en Jesús. Lo hiciste cuando mandaste a tu Espíritu Santo, el
comunicador por excelencia. Ayúdanos Padre para que las palabras que lancemos
sean verdaderas. Ayúdanos para que no andemos por el mundo entregando a
nuestros prójimos cortezas de palabras, cáscaras, envases vacíos, palabras huecas o
cargadas de veneno. Que nuestras palabras sean portadoras de Dios, porque los
labios que tú nos diste, están hechos para decir nuestra alma, Y nuestra alma te
conoce y te tiene abrazada. Así sea. Amén.

ALL: Holy God,
we cannot fully comprehend that you became one
of us,
in order to save us from sin and death
and lead us into life abundant.
We forget that our lives depend on your grace alone,
and not on our own good intentions or our great
accomplishments.

that we, too, might be light in a dark and weary
world.

SUGGESTED SERMON EMPHASIS
 The prophet declares the Lord’s promise to redeem Israel and return them
their land.

 We are chosen and adopted from the foundations of the world to participate
in and follow the will of Christ.

We thank you, Lord, because you gave us the Word.
By the word, our souls enter into dialogue, by the word we enter into dialogue with
you.
We thank you that through our words we build bridges with others.
We thank you because we can say:
I love you, I care for you, I appreciate you, you're important to me.
We thank you because we can say:
All is well, I forgive you, let's start again.
Our soul could not talk, if the word was stolen from it. We thank you for all those
words that our sisters and brothers have said to us, that have encouraged us,
sometimes corrected in love, and others that have demonstrated that we are not
alone with our problems. We thank you because, when you created human beings,
you gave him and her possibilities to speak.

You yourself are not a silent God, but a God who loves to communicate. You did it
when you created the universe and all that exists. You did it when your Word of love
became flesh in Jesus. You did it when you sent your Holy Spirit, the communicator
par excellence. Father, help us so that the words that we emit are truthful. Help us to
not to walk in the world giving our neighbors barks, shells, empty containers or
loaded words, or even poisonous ones. May our words be carriers of God, because
the lips you gave us are made to speak our souls, and our souls know you and have
embraced you. Let it be so. Amen.
