This institute has approximately five hundred employees. These

employees are classified as Teachers, Administrative Staff, Supporting
Technical and Non-Technical Staff. All employees are entitled for different
kinds of leaves. These leaves are: Casual Leave, Special Casual Leave,
Earned Leave, Medical Leave, Station Leave, Leave-Without-Pay. There is
an upper limit in terms of number of days which an employee can avail
during a year. For example, an employee gets maximum of eight days of
casual leave and maximum of thirty days of Earned leave if he/she has not
availed vacation. There is a sanctioning authority for each leave. An
employee needs to take Station Leave if he/she plans to go out of Allahabad
for availing either holidays or a sanctioned leave. Some of the leaves such as
Earned and Medical Leaves are cumulative in nature and do not expire at the
end of the year. However, there are maximum number of days to which
these leaves can be accumulated. An employee has to apply for these leaves
on prescribed proforma and is informed about the sanction of leave either
through a separate office memo or through original application itself.
Records of these leaves are maintained at different places for different
periods.

Currently, this entire activity is done manually and are prone to delays
and errors. The institute desires to automate this activity. You are required to
design and implement an application for this. Prescribed forms and
associated rules may be obtained either from me or the Department's office.
