Out from the trees came a wolf. It was snarling a menacing snarl at Fearless Phil.

Fearless Phil did not quiver. He thought he was invincible. He flexed his muscles which

were big like the rocks in the river! That poor wolf was terrified and bolted down the

mountain track.

The sunflower stood tall by the wall under the hot sun. The passers-by admired it.

They commented that it was a beauty. The next day, the sunflower went flop. “What a

shame!” said the neighbours. Mrs Brown looked at it and shook her head. Mr Brown

assured her that he would fix it for her.

Unit 4 : The Wolf’s Story

Date: 8 March 2011 (Tuesday)

The wolf explained that he did not attack the pigs. He thought his eyes were

playing tricks when one pig ran away to a house of sticks and slammed the door. He

thought that houses should be built with strong materials. He then blew the house down

with a puff to convince the pig that its house could be easily destroyed.
