Authentic Subjectivity

The Wise Person chooses Authentic Subjectivity for his or her Way of

Being, rather than Authority. Authentic Subjectivity means that the

person’s “authority” is the authoritative Transcendental Precepts, which a

person commits to live by, which are:

1. Be attentive

2. Be intelligent, including being logical

3. Be reasonable

4. Be responsible

5. Be loving

6. Be intuitive

7. Be wise

Authentic Subjectivity provides a type of “objectivity” which is

halfway between some sort of solipsistic subjectivism, on the one hand, and

some sort of detached objectivity, on the other hand. Authentic Subjectivity

intends probable truth and probable judgments of fact. The probable truth

of Authentic Subjectivity is provisional truth. Authentic Subjectivity

privileges the Transcendental Precepts as a Process Foundation, and after

that everything is subject to a provisional judgment of fact. A provisional

judgment of fact is subject to revision, if and when, a better understanding of

the situation or data, becomes apparent. Thus, Protestant

Transcendentalism, as described herein, is a type of Process

Foundationalism. For example, the validity of Logic, can be proved with

the use of the Apple Experiment, using Concrete Logic. And, of course,

secondarily, one can prove the Existence of God, for example, using the

logical reasoning found in the Transcendental Precepts. Thus, we can see

that since God is Good, and that an important aspect of The Good, is

Existence, then it is logically required that an important aspect of God is

Existence, that is, that God Exists. Also, with respect to Authentic

Subjectivity in Community, we can see that all Community rules and

practices are subject to the Rule of Reason and the Law of Logic, also

known as Sheriff’s Law. Thus, any rule or policy of a Community, to be

valid, must have reasonable content, scope, and application, and, must not

involve a logical contradiction nor a logical fallacy.
