The Kingdom, the Acceptable Time

The prophets saw the arrival of the KINGDOM as the arrival of the day of SALVATION. The
arrival of the KINGDOM was the ACCEPTABLE TIME of SALVATION. The REDEEMER
would come and bring RESTORATION to ISRAEL.

 Isaiah 49:7-8

Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to
him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also
shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall
choose thee.

Thus saith the LORD, In an ACCEPTABLE TIME have I heard thee, and in a DAY of
SALVATION have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the
people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;

 Paul quotes from Isaiah in describing the GRACE (FAVOR) OF GOD in his day. It would be
a TIME OF SUCCOUR. SUCCOUR means help or assistance, especially in time of difficulty.

 2 Corinthians 6:1-2

We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the GRACE of
GOD in vain.

(For he saith, I have heard thee in a TIME ACCEPTED, and in the DAY of SALVATION
have I SUCCOURED thee: behold, NOW is the ACCEPTED TIME; behold, now is the day of
salvation.) We are NOW LIVING in the ACCEPTABLE TIME. We are NOW LIVING in the
day of SALVATION.

 The KINGDOM would be the arrival of the DAY of SALVATION and the DAY of GRACE
(FAVOR).

This is what the LORD says: "In the time of my FAVOR I will answer you, and in the day of
salvation I will HELP you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people,
to RESTORE the LAND and to reassign its desolate inheritances,

  This would be the time of God's FAVOR upon ZION. They were favored with SALVATION
through Messiah. It was also the time of RESTORATION of THE LAND. This is not
referring to a natural land, but the PLACE of SALVATION in CHRIST. The land of Canaan
was a type of the whole earth, and Christ would POSSESS the UTTERMOST PARTS OF
THE EARTH (Psa.2). In other words God's favor upon Israel (the REMNANT) brought
SALVATION the ENTIRE WORLD. Israel’s restoration through the KINGDOM of
MESSIAH was the WORLD'S SALVATION.
