Objective

Create an addressing scheme using variable length subnet masking (VLSM).

Scenario

The assignment is the Class C address 195.30.18.0 and it must support the network shown
in the diagram. The use of IP unnumbered or NAT is not permitted on this network. Create
an addressing scheme that meets the requirements shown in the diagram.

Step 1

1. How many host are on the largest LAN?

2. How many host bits are needed to support the requirements of the largest LAN?

Step 2

Using VLSM, subnet the network address 195.30.18.0 according the largest LAN.
Step 3

Use VLSM to further subnet the addresses to best fit the needs of the other LANs and WAN

links. Conserve address space wherever possible.
