Amitabh

Bachchan

A debate between Karma vs. Destiny (bhagya, kismat) was conceptualized right from the
day man become rational. It is an ongoing eternal debate which can divide the world pro
and against 50 – 50. However, the fact of the matter is that destiny runs thousand miles
ahead and karma keeps on following it. Sometimes it succeeds otherwise bhagya prevails.
Amitabh Bachchan is the legendary example of destiny vs. karma. A horoscope is a
heavenly map in which the destiny of each and every individual is available in coded
language. Astrology is the only tool which can reveal everything about a person much in
advance.

Let us see what is in store for him in the coming years. Amitabh Bachchan was born 11th
October 1942 at Allahabad. At the time of his birth Aquarius lagna was rising on the
eastern horizon and the planetary configuration was as such: Ketu – Aquarius, Saturn,
Uranus – Taurus, Jupiter, Pluto – Cancer, Rahu – Leo, Sun, Mercury, Mars, Venus,
Neptune – Virgo and Moon in Libra.

Amitabh Bachchan was born when Aquarius lagna (ascendant) was rising on the eastern
horizon and Ketu was placed in it. The lord of lagna Saturn is beautifully placed in the 4th
house. Well placed Ketu in lagna gives an inbuilt missionary zeal to the native. If lord of
lagna is well placed as is the case here then missions are always accomplished. Ketu has
also given him intuitive wisdom which he uses subtly in his acting. Ketu always makes
the person king of kings, perhaps which is why Amitabh Bachchan is called the
Shahenshah of Indian cinema.

First class Rajayoga:

In his chart four planets namely Sun, Mars, Venus and Mercury are placed in the 8th
house giving rise to a great rajayoga called “Pravajra”. Ancient sages were of the opinion
that a good rajayoga can transform the person once for all. The beauty of this rajayoga is
that the world starts following the person and the person always looks for a secluded place
where he can find his personal solace. The other major quality of this yoga is that person
rises from rages to riches and falls flat on his face but invariably bounces back in a big
way. If we look at the saga of Amitabh Bachchan then he has done nothing different than
what was written in his heavenly map. The further interpretation of this yoga reveals that
a person becomes a mortal with his deeds in this world. Of course all of us know legends
do not die.

Forecast for the next one year:

In his chart Ketu’s mahadasa is in operation which will continue for the next 7 years. At
present Ketu – Ketu are operating till April 2008. Ketu wants from Amitabh Bachchan to
look at life afresh and use his intuitive wisdom to accomplish those tasks which his
rational mind cannot pursue. April onward sub of Venus will take over for the next eight
months which indicates that AB will be awarded at international level and his work will
be appreciated differently. Some global opportunities will also knock on his door and
Amitabh’s saga will demand everybody’s attention towards him. On the negative side,
health needs to be attended to properly.

Some planetary yogas are considered inauspicious as their malefic impact snatches
away peace and happiness from a person’s life.

Some auspicious yogas from Vedic astrology are: ‘Mahalaxmi yoga’, ‘Nripa yoga’ etc.

One of the most auspicious yogas in astrology is the Mahalaxmi yoga. Mahalaxmi
Yoga is an auspicious yoga that gives the person immense wealth. This yoga is formed
when Jupiter the lord of the house of wealth (second house) is placed in the eleventh
house and aspects the second house. This yoga is considered a Dhan yoga (combination
that gives wealth).

Saraswati yoga is also an auspicious yoga. It is formed when Venus, Jupiter and
Mercury are placed together or in the Kendra houses. This yoga is formed when either an
aspect or a relation occurs between these auspicious planets. The person whose kundli
has this yoga gets blessings from Devi Saraswati, the goddess of learning. The person
receives fame in arts, music, creativity and studies and also earns from them.

Nripa yoga, the name itself suggests that the person having this yoga in his kundli will
lead the life of a king. This yoga is formed when three or more planets are in an exalted
position.

Amla yoga is also one of the auspicious yogas formed when Moon is in the tenth aspect
with any benefic planet. The person who is born with this yoga achieves fame, wealth
and prosperity.

Gajkesari yoga is an exceptional yoga. The person with this yoga will never find any
obstacles in fulfilling his/her necessities. Wealth, fame and success come very easily to
the person born with this yoga. It is formed when Jupiter and Moon with their full
intensity and effect occur in a kundli. If the Ascendant is Cancer, Pisces, Sagittarius,
Taurus or Capricorn then it yields its full impact.

In fact, it still proves to be beneficiary in its ineffective state but the auspicious results are
of medium grade. This yoga is formed when the first, fourth, seventh and tenth houses
from Moon to the Kendra house have Jupiter. It is also formed if there is a combination
of Moon and Jupiter.
Parijat yoga is another exceptional yoga. A person born with this yoga climbs to the
peak of success and prosperity but at a slower pace. That’s why the yoga’s impact is felt
when the person reaches middle age. Parijat yoga is formed when the lord of the sign
where the lord of the Ascendant is placed is in exalted position, or in its own house.

Chhatra yoga gives a person constant progress throughout his life. The person
achieves a high status. This yoga is formed when every planet in the kundali is placed
between the fourth to the tenth house or vice versa. When there are two planets placed in
at least three houses, and one planet placed in at least three houses then the auspicious
yoga called the Nanda yoga is formed. A person’s whose kundali has this yoga gets a
healthy and long life. His/her life becomes joyful/peaceful under the influence of this
yoga.

There are several other yogas whose presence in one’s life bring happiness and good
fortune altogether.

Saturn is considered as an inauspicious planet in Astrology. It creates malice on the

planets placed in the same house along with it.

Let’s discuss under the light of Astrology the activities of Saturn when placed with the
auspicious planets.

Combination of Saturn with the Moon.

This very combination is considered as a’ Pitri Dosha’. The Astrology which lay its belief
in ‘Punarjanma’ or re-birth is of the opinion that this combination occurs in one’s
‘kundali’ when in his previous birth failed short of loving his wife! Due to the malefic
impact of this combination the person receives stress and sorrow from his mother. The
curse he gets from his mother creates many problems and difficulties in his life. As a
result his home environment remains chaotic and strenuous. By caring and loving his
mother he receives her blessings after the latter’s death and thereby his life becomes
peaceful.

Combination of Saturn with the Jupiter.

The Jupiter is the guru of all the planets. It is the embodiment of goodwill and positivity.
Saturn is just the opposite of Jupiter but after the conjunction the previous one sheds its
malefic nature and doesn’t harm the person. Saturn gives auspicious results when it is
placed with Jupiter in the same house. But Jupiter loses some of its auspicious nature in
this regard. When Saturn and Jupiter place themselves in the seventh-aspect then changes
happens in the quality of both the planets. In this juncture/situation Saturn acts like
Jupiter whereas Jupiter equals with Saturn and becomes torturous like the said one.

When Saturn combines with Jupiter in the first house it proves to be very good and
profitable. Due to this auspicious combination the person gets name, fame and wealth.
But when a reduction of auspicious quality of Jupiter is seen, the person receives less
happiness from his paternal side. Not only that he feels worried and stressed from his
childrens’ side too. This inauspicious combination hampers the well-being of the person’s
happiness, education and professional life. This combination in its eighth-aspect provides
the person with a long life with inadequate supply of money. In twelfth-aspect this
combination provides its best result and the person receives happiness, fortune and fame.

Combination of Saturn with Mercury.

Mercury is an auspicious planet but it is basically a neutral planet. It adopts the nature of
the planets placed in the same house and acts like them. Mercury –Jupiter combination in
their first-aspect brings polishness in the character of the person and he is incorporates
with humanly qualities. But this combination turns malefic in fifth and tenth-aspects. In
twelfth-aspect this combination brings the person success, fame and wealth.

The combination in between Saturn and Mercury is of benefic nature. The house in which
this combination takes place receives positive results. In the first-aspect the combination
brings material opulence which is benefic but the person’s family life suffers from
inauspicious results. Saturn-Mercury combination proves good in fourth-aspect and the
person is blessed with good fortune from his wife’ and friend’s side. The combination in
seventh-aspect makes the character of the person loose and he possesses many wives or
man. As a result it creates obstacles in the peace process of his family. The birth-chart in
which Saturn-Mercury combination is placed in tenth-aspect it is considered very
auspicious.

is said that the sages of the ancient India could see the past, present and future by
the power of their knowledge. Now the times have changed, our lives have changed.
We don’t have the patience nor have the courage for devotion of that level.

It has become difficult not just to judge the past and the future but also the present. In this
situation only the Vedas given by Parampitaa Brahma can give us solace. As we know
astrology is not only a part, but the eyes of the Vedas, it provides and predicts destiny of
a person.

Mystery of Vedic Astrology

Vedic astrology is the store of mysterious things. Researches have been done and still
going on to reduce the complexity and to decipher the metaphorical meanings so that the
new generation can easily deal with it. Astrologers are carrying out several researches
from which newer methods are emerging that will make prediction of the future more
accurate and simpler.

In the 20th century legendary South Indian astrologer Krishnamurthy founded an

astrological system which is called the Krishnamurthy System. In this system Navamsha
is replaced by the kalansha to predict the future accurately.
Differences between Navamsha and kalansha
Though Vedic astrology is the foundation of both the navamsha and kalansha there are
some differences between them.

Navamsha is the division of sign whereas kalansha is the division of nakshatras. In Vedic
astrology navamsha is used for knowing subtle events. Krishnamurthy started the trend of
dividing nakshatras instead of signs through which predictions became even more fine-
tuned and pointed. In navamsha signs and in kalansha nakshatras are classified into 9
parts.

Let us discuss elaborately. In navamsha a sign of 30 degree is divided into 9 parts . Thus,
a navamsha has 3 degree and 20 minutes. In contrast nakshatra is of 13 degree and 20
minutes that is divided into 9 parts. But this division is not equal.

Every kalansha has a planet as its lord, and the planet’s period has been decided as per
the Vimshottari Dasha. Just as the planetary period is different in vimshottari dasha the
kalansha periods too do not remain same. Thus, every kalansha has its own duration in
accordance with the Vimshottari Dasha.

The smallest kalansha is of 4 minutes and the biggest one is of 2 degree 20 seconds.
kalansha periods are smaller and this quality brings it nearer to the reality.

There are differences in the numbers of navamsha and kalansha. There are 108 navamsha
whereas kalansha are 249 in number. You might be thinking that there are 12 signs which
are divided in to 9 parts get a number of 108, then how come 27 nakshatras after dividing
with 9 get 243 kalansha. I.e. why 6 extra kalansha?

The answer of this query is that in this system some nakshatra periods are divided
between two signs. Suppose, if we take kalansha of the Moon, a single nakshatra period
may fall between two signs like Gemini, Virgo, Aquarius or Capricorn, Leo etc. have. In
this way we get 6 more kalanshas.

In Krishnamurthy system planets are the lords of the kalansha, and results are obtained
from planetary influences on kalansha.

In Numerology predictions are based on Name number, Root number and Destiny
number. Numerological predictions depend on the calculations obtained from these
three and other numbers of a person.

A person’s name, root and destiny numbers are can give some accurate readings about his
or her marriage.

Numerology is a method to know the future. Like other astrological methods,

numerology also provides information, answers and predicts human future. Numerology
is very effective in important events like marriage.
The term numerology itself suggests its relation with numbers. Numerology believes that
every transitive and intransitive object of this universe has a definite number of its own.
When numbers are not in harmony, inauspicious things take place.

Similarly, while assessing whether a marriage will be good, it is important to make

certain that numbers of the couple must match with each other. If the numbers are not
matching then remedies should be taken to establish good relationship between the
numbers.

Vedic astrology along with other astrological methods utilizes the kundli from which the
qualities of both the parties are assessed. Similarly, numerology with the help of numbers
predicts the marriage compatibility and post-marriage life of the person.

Role of Numerology in marriage matching

The name number plays a very important role in numerological match-making. To know
the name numbers of the couple the names are written separately in English. After
writing the names, the numbers of the letters are added from which the name numbers are
obtained.

One important thing that should be kept in mind is, that if the result is more than 9, then
the digits are once again broken and added to get a final number which then becomes the
name number of the person. The final number must always be of single digit. For
example if the number is 32 then it will be further broken to 3+2=5. Numerology says, if
husband’s number is 5 and wife’s is 4 then there will be a peaceful relationship between
the couple.

Matching obtained by name number

According to astrological principles if husband’s and wife’s number is 1 then both will
compete for the same things. This may give rise to confusion and complexities in their
married life. If the lady’s number is 2, there will be stress between the couple. The
relationship between the couple will be lovely and understanding if the wife has number
3 and husband 1.

If wife has number 4 then the family life will become chaotic. Life is beautiful if the
woman has number 5. Women of the 7 and 10 have a happy married life with men
numbering 1. Women whose name numbers are 6 or 8 may have a shortage of happiness
with men of number 1.

If Women with 1 or 7 number gets married with men numbering 2 then their married life
may not be a happy one.

A man of number 2 will have a wonderful life if he marries a woman of any number
except 1 and 7. A woman of number 3 and a man of number 2 will have a good married
life but joy and sorrow will stay temporarily in their life.
If the husband’s number is 3 and the wife has 3, 4 or 5 number then the married life of
these couples will not be a good one. The conjugal life will be problematic if the husband
has number 3 and the wife has number 7 as their name number. If a man who has number
3 marries any woman except those of number 3, 4, 5, and 7 he will have an amazing life.

If the number of the husband is 4 he should marry a woman whose name number is 2, 4
or 5 for a wonderful conjugal life. Married life remains satisfactory between a man whose
number is 4 and woman whose number is 6 or 8.

According to numerologists, a person whose name number is 5 should marry a woman

whose name number is 1, 2, 5, 6 or 8 for an excellent married life. Life is ordinary with a
life partner who has name number 4 or 7 while there may be a lack of happiness with
women of other numbers.

A man whose name number is 6 should marry a woman numbering 1 or 6 for a superb
married life. Marital life remains normal with a lady whose name number is 3, 5, 7, 8 or 9
whereas life may be full of difficulties with women numbering 2 and 4.

If the man’s name number is 7, and the woman’s is either 1, 3 or 6 than the couple will
have a relationship based on love and co-operation. If the woman’s number is 5, 8 or 9
there may be some trouble in married life but things will not run out of hand. The
relationship may not go smooth with women of other numbers.

A man of number 8 will have a happy marriage if he marries a woman of number 5, 6 or

7. The relationship is ordinary with a woman of number 2 or 3 but there may be problems
with women of other numbers.

For a man of number 9, the best match is with a woman of number 1, 2 3, 6 or 9. Women
of number 5 or 7 are considered a fair match while the other numbers (4, 8) are not
compatible.

Jupiter is considered the most powerful and biggest among the nine planets. Being
the teacher of the Gods it secures highest position and is the most auspicious planet.

According to Vedic astrology Jupiter is lord of Sagittarius and Pisces sign and
Punarwasu, Vishakha, and Purwavadrapada Nakshatras. Jupiter is an auspicious planet
which gives purity, honesty, truthfulness and happiness. This planet is effective in
second, fifth, ninth, tenth, and eleventh houses of a person’s kundli. Out of twelve
months in a year it remains retrograde for four months. Sun, Moon, Saturn and Mars are
its friendly planets whereas Venus and Mercury are its enemies.

What astronomy says about Jupiter

Astronomy says that Jupiter is some twenty nine crores and six lakh miles far from the
Sun whereas it is thirty eight crores mile away from Earth. The radius of this planet is
around eighty nine miles. Days of Jupiter are shorter from the days of Earth and Mars
because it completes a rotation in its axis around Sun within nine hours and fifty-five
minutes.

It rises again after a month after it has set, after four consecutive months it becomes
retrograde and direct after four months. It sets after four months and one week. Jupiter
stays for one month in each sign and takes thirteen months to complete the cycle of
twelve signs. From recent experiments it is acknowledged that Jupiter has thirty nine
moons and in this way it surpassed Saturn.

Jupiter in Mythology
It has been specified in the Skanda Purana that Jupiter is the son of great sage Angira.
After a long and hard worship of lord Shiva he achieved the position of the Tutor of the
gods and a place amongst the other planets. On the strength of his knowledge he delivers
the share of the devas from the Yajnas that are performed. He brings spiritual and true
learning to its devotees. He brings happiness and fame in a person’s life.

Place of Jupiter in Astrology

People who are influenced by Jupiter are generally fat and suffer from cough. They have
a loud voice; they have brown eyes and sometimes brown or golden hair. They are
spiritual, philosophic, honest and have a keen interest in science.

It has a full aspect on the fifth, seventh and ninth house. The houses that are aspected by
Jupiter yield benefic results for the native but the house that has Jupiter does not yield
benefic results. It becomes very effective (Yoga karaka) in Sagittarius and Pisces because
the houses it aspects and the house in which it takes position are both beneficial. If it’s in
Virgo or Gemini it becomes harmful for the person.

Place of Jupiter in Palmistry

There is a place on the palm that’s marked as ‘Mount of Jupiter’. It is located below the
index finger of our hand and is guarded by Saturn, Mars and Rahu. The position of the
mount in Palmistry is of great importance. If there are symbols of squares or circles in
this mount then the person gets success in literary and financial field. They are very
ambitious and intelligent. They chose their life partners by their own and if any line
crosses the mount of Jupiter from the Luck-Line then the person becomes successful and
famous in society.

In Vedic Astrology, there is a specific principle of the planetary aspects. Firstly, here
the planetary aspects are considered and not the aspects of the concerned houses.

Secondly, these planetary aspects have to be complete in form and not in an incomplete
form. Thirdly, the positive or negative effects of the natural bodies are permanent and not
temporary. Besides, the basis the planetary aspects is also natural.
But Lal kitab has a different principle;-
(1) Here, the aspects of the houses are taken into consideration. If a planet is in a
particular house, then the aspect of that house has an impact on the planet. For example,
the first house has a complete aspect on the seventh house. So, if some planet is in an
ascendant, that planet will also have a complete aspect on the seventh house. But if that
planet is in another house, then that planet will no more remain under the impact of the
first house.

(2) According to Lal Kitab, the aspect of a house can be complete(100%) or half
complete(50%), and even one-fourth i.e 25%.

(3) Unlike Vedic Astrology, according to Lal-Kitab, the favorable or unfavorable impact
of the celestial bodies is also temporary. For example, if there is some natural enmity
between Saturn and Sun and Sun is in the first house while Saturn in the ninth house.
Then Saturn which is in the ninth house is the base of Sun which is in the first house.
Hence, here, Saturn will support Sun.

Let us take another example. According to the horary-chart of Lal Kirab, since Sun and
Mars are natural friends, and Sun is in the fifth house whereas Mars in the tenth
house, then Mars will have an unfavorable effect on Sun by its eighth strike.

It means, according to Lal-Kitab, the natural friendly or unfavorable relationship of

planets is less important. Since the mutual relationship of planetary aspects or the
relationship of different houses will alter the mutual relationship of the planets.

One more difference between Vedic Astrology and Lal Kitab.

According to another principle of Vedic Astrology, an aspect of every planet is seventh.
For example, if Sun is in the third house, and is looking at Moon which is in the ninth
house, then the Moon of the ninth house will also look at Sun in the third house .In other
words, there well be a mutual relationship in the aspects of Sun and Moon.

In Lal Kitab, on the other hand, though Sun of the third house will look at Moon which is
in the ninth house, the latter will not look at Sun which is in the third house. In this way,
according to Lal-Kitab, there is no mutual relationship between planets nor is there any
negative aspect of the houses. Hence a person can easily understand Lal Kitab.
