Problem Statement

• The University’s is going bigger and the need for academicians is


getting crucial. In meantime, some academicians are doing
administrative jobs, which reducing their teaching hours.
• The plan is to empower more task and responsibilities to non-
academic administrator to run the University. The academicians will
hold a very minimum administrative position and focus more on
academic matters.
• The administrators will be empowered to uphold top administrative
positions (for example in Students’ Affairs, Intake, Sport Centre,
Health Centre).
Purposes of the Study
1. To look into administrator’s perceptions on this
empowerment initiative (implementing LeTMMe).
2. To identify the advantages and disadvantages of
implementing LeTMMe to the University for non-
academic administrators (Assistant Registrars)
perspective.
3. To determine either administrators and/or UiTM are
ready with staffing, training and tools to implement
LeTTMe.
Research Questions
1. What are the perceptions of Assistant Registrars
towards this empowerment initiative?

2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of


LeTMMe from Assistant Registrars perspective?

3. Does UiTM and the administrators (ARs) ready to


implement LeTMMe?
Research Methodology
• Type : Case Study
• Mixed method
– 1. quantitative analysis [questionnaire]
– 2. qualitative analysis [interview]

• Questionnaire
– Section A : Demographic data of respondents
– Section B : predetermine attributes to check respondent perception
and readiness towards LeTMMe
Sample & Population
• Population : Assistant Registrars in Academic Affairs
(Faculties and State Campuses) of UiTM

• Sample : ALL Assistant Registrars in Academic Affairs


(Faculties and State Campuses) of UiTM
Data Analysis
• Using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences
(SPSS), version 14.0

• Show in percentage, frequencies and correlation

• Information gathered from interview session will be


transcripted and categorised
