Development of Youth Justice in
Scotland
A NATIONAL 2-DAY WORK-
SHOP BASED CONFERENCE

Held in West Park, Dundee we are delighted to say that this is
the fourth such conference, organised by the Criminal Justice So-
cial Work Development Centre, and funded by the ScottishGov-
ernment. The National Practice Development have been involved
with the developing of the Conference along with the Youth
Justice Advisory Group and their Executive Group, to produce a
2-day workshop based conference.
Applications should be made through the Youth Justice Advisory
Group member or equivalent, submitted to the Criminal Justice
Social Work Development Centre, and allocations will be made.

showcase progress and
achievements in the de-
velopment of youth jus-
tice practice in Scotland
in 2010 – 2011.
Local Authorities and Voluntary
Agencies are facing difficult finan-
cial circumstances. In addition to the

seek to support practitioners main-
tain their focus on research and evi-
dence led practice and share examples
of ways in which agencies may have
adapted to these adverse circum-
stances in innovative or creative ways
of structuring and delivering effective
We would like to invite workshop presenters over a wide range of
practices in connection with Youth Justice,
showing the development over the years. Us-
ing the same format as last year, delegates will
be asked to select their choice of workshops,
and it is hoped that in the main their choices
can be accommodated. Each workshop run
will have relevancy to Youth Justice and we would encourage sub-
missions for this as soon as possible.
