Liberated areas
Tripoli Street has been completely liberated, from the Insurance building until the flyover on Tripoli Street. The
area is under the complete control of the freedom fighters.

The Abu Shaalah hospital on Tripoli Street has also been liberated. Freedom fighters killed a large number of
Gaddafi forces and captured others. They gained a large stash of weapons and ammunition.

Location of Gaddafi forces in Misurata

A small number of Gaddafi's forces are stationed in the Abd Roum area. The others are stationed at the Al-
Sikkit jail. Some of them are stationed at the airport where freedom fighters are surrounding them.

Capture of foreign senior, military officers

Freedom fighters captured three senior military officers today. They are Arab nationals; a Syrian, Algerian
and one Sudanese. The Algerian is a colonel and was a commander at the Insurance building. He fled to
the Central hospital after freedom fighters surrounded the Insurance building. He was later captured at the
Central hospital where he sustained severe injuries to his leg. The colonel is now in a secure area, and under
interrogation for the crimes he committed in Misurata.

Commander Ramadan Bashir

When asked about reports that one of Gaddafi's commander, Ramadan Bashir, had been captured, a freedom
fighter's commander said, that "This is highly sensitive information, but we may share more if the time is right."
