Autonomy
• Ceramic Art, based on
hair
• Inspired by his childhood
• His mother began to lose
her hair, as a result of
chemotherapy
• Though motionless, these
sculptures show
movement
Moving Art
• His motivation for these
flowing ceramic
sculptures was music.
• Up tempo pop music,
combined with his body’s
reaction, inspired his
“moving” sculptures.
• Thanks to Cal State
Fullerton, this student was
able to express his mind
freely.
Our Purpose:
To bring awareness of the artistic beauty
available on campus.

• Art Around Campus

• Value of Having Art on Campus

• Availability of Experiencing Art

Art Around Campus
Statue of David
• Replica of
Michaelangelo’s
David Statue.
• Stood for about 20
years in Cypress,
until the Whittier
Narrows Earthquake
knocked it down on
October 1987.
• Forest Lawn
Memorial Parks
donated the broken
fragments to CSUF
for installation as a
fallen monument.
• This installation
provides a unique
opportunity to
appreciate the
monumental works
of Michaelangelo
• Fun Fact: Titans
believe that rubbing
David’s “rear end”
brings good luck.
