Make a chart where you list an observation and a logical inference for each sense. For
example, if you see wet pavement, it may have rained or someone may have washed a
car. This is an individual work, so it is not expected to have two identical activities.

Think of the picture of the moldy bread. Explain that mold will grow on bread that is
exposed to air at room temperature. Design an experiment to test the effects of water
and sunlight on the growth of bread mold. Make a problem question, formulate a
hypothesis, and identify the manipulated variable and the control in the proposed
experiment. Include in your writing what safety precautions would be taken to prevent
exposure to mold or mold spores.
