Lost Time Injury or (LTI) is a work-related injury or illness that results an individual is unable to work on a subsequent scheduled work day or shift.

A lost time injury (LTI) occurs when a person is injured in the execution of his/her duties and as a result of this injury is unable to perform his/her REGULAR DUTIES for one full shift or more on the day following day which the injury was incurred.

How to Calculate LTI ?


Total Man-Hours Worked Of The Year = total no of staff X working hour X working day X 12months
Note: Working day - Monday till Friday Working hour - 8.30am to 12.30am, 1.30pm to 5.30pm

Example Of LTI
As an example, an employee is injured on the job on Wednesday. He was scheduled to work on Thursday and Friday on regular time and Saturday on overtime. He was instructed to stay off work until Monday, and did so. This is a lost time injury. The employee missed three scheduled days of work (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday) and all three days are counted as lost workdays for this case.
