It seems to be a theme throughout both, the Old and the New Testaments. To the children of Israel it appeared like a consuming fire on top of the mountain. Moses asked to see it. David said that it was set before - and was proclaimed by - the heavens. Isaiah saw it in the temple and announced that it will be revealed to all people. Habakkuk said that it will cover the earth like the waters cover the sea. It appeared with the angels as they proclaimed Christ's birth to the shepherds. John tells us that when the Word became flesh, we beheld it. Peter, James and John saw it in Jesus' face on the mount of transfiguration and Paul even tells us that our sin has caused us to fall short of it. What is the "it" of which I am speaking? "It" is the GLORY of GOD (Music begins) and I believe with all my heart that He continues to reveal His glory to us today. Look for it. Live for it.
