things you'll need:

Peat pot Potting soil Bean seed Spray bottle (filled with water) Trowel

1. Fill the peat pot almost to the top with potting soil.
2.

Place the bean seed on the top of the potting soil and add half inch of additional potting soil over the seed.

3. Spray the potting soil with the spray bottle to moisten the soil.
4.

Place the peat pot in a sunny location and keep the soil evenly moist while the seed grows in the pot. Transplant the bean seed outdoors when the weather is warm and the seedling is at least 4 to inches high.

5.

6. Dig a hole with the trowel that is large enough for the entire peat pot. 7. Place the peat pot into the prepared hole, making sure the rim of the peat pot will be beneath the soil. 8. Firm the soil gently around the peat pot to finish planting the bean plant. 9. Keep the bean plant evenly watered and watch for blossoms. 10. After the bean plant blossoms, beans will form. Harvest the beans when they are 4 to 6 inches long, firm and green.
