1. Fill the peat pot almost to the top with potting soil.

Firm the soil gently around the peat pot to finish planting the bean plant. 9. Keep the bean plant evenly watered and watch for blossoms. 10. After the bean plant blossoms, beans will form. Harvest the beans when they are 4 to 6 inches long, firm and green.
