Vision

The

Enigma Photography is a production company based in Radford, Virginia. They specialize in wedding photography, portrait photography, video, and design. They formed in 2004 after a long term friendship evolved into a lucrative business venture. Their original mission was to create a company that would consistently exceed peoples expectations by striving to preserve the integrity of their art while creating lasting relationships with their clientele. They seek to accentuate the natural essence of individuals through the use of various skills and techniques learned throughout their careers. They believe classic images come from the ability to relate to the subject in such a way that the content of the photograph will stand the test of time.

People
The
Born in Newberg, Oregon has had an affinity for art from a very young age. His father, a painter, and his mother, an interior designer both instilled into Aaron an impeccable eye for color schemes and an artistic mind that would later pay off in his co-founding of Enigma Photography. Aaron played college basketball in Portland while completing degrees in art and theology. When he moved to Radford he began work for The Roanoke Times while continuing to develop his interests in sports, music, and spending time with his family. After working for the Roanoke Times for several years he decided to further his education at Radford University, specifically on graphic design. After graduating he worked in the campus print shop doing design and output, eventually becoming a professor at Radford University. Around this time he had been tossing ideas around with his long time friend Jeremy Pegg, who was also pursuing his interest in photography, and collectively they decided to form Enigma Photography. Aaron saw in Jeremy exactly what Jeremy saw in Aaron, the other piece of the puzzle.

co-founder of Enigma Photography was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Portland, Oregon. For Jeremy, creativity runs in the family. After serving in World War II his grandfather used a Rolleiflex Twin Lens camera to photograph all the new houses being built in the area. His grandmother would then take those images, hand color them, and create postcards to sell to the proud owners of these new houses so they could show off their new home to friends and family. Although it would seem Jeremy was predestined for a career in photography, he undertook other ventures before co-creating Enigma with Aaron. For three years he was a lighthearted political radio talk show host in Portland until he gave that up to produce a morning sports program. In his free time he currently teaches photography and film to students at two private schools in Blacksburg. He has a passion for writing, theological interests, graphic arts and world cinema. He has always enjoyed photography as a hobby, but after discussing the idea of forming a company with long time friend Aaron Forrester, they decided it would be a perfect fit. Rather than each of them setting out on their own they believed they could accomplish more together.

Wonderful Photographers! 12/20/2010 Aaron was wonderful to work with and produced such lovely photography. They are based out of Blacksburg but our wedding was in Roanoke and he had no trouble travelling to us. At the time of our wedding, the base package included no time limit, coverage of the rehearsal in addition to the ceremony and reception, and full rights to our photos! We paid the extra fee to have a second photographer and she was also wonderful and professional. Compared to other photographers we looked at, we got way more for the money paid, and the pictures were BEAUTIFUL. Not only were they a great deal, but Aaron was such a nice, fun guy to work with. I definitely recommend Enigma!

Wedding: 10/10/2010 Member Since: 8/14/2009 Incredible 12/1/2010 We recently used Enigma for our wedding and rehearsal in October and we had a wonderful experience. Jeremy was wonderful to work with. He had a great sense of humor and was completely undemanding. He was efficient with all of the group shots (which can sometimes be the most painful part), and the photos that we received back were wonderful. He was also able to capture several other candid moments during the event that I will cherish always. I would highly recommend Enigma to anyone looking for quality photos for their event.

They are extremely professional. They have great personality, are fun, helped us relax, and made the day thoroughly enjoyable. They are quick, efficient and we could not have been happier with our photos. They are very intentional in the shots they take. The angles, the shading and locations they choose are excellent. Would HIGHLY recommend.
