    Automatic wash basin mirror lamp control uses a transmitter and receiver. Transmitter produces a 38khz square wave from an astable multivibrator. Whenever a obstacle is encountered the waves get reflected backwards. This reflected signals are received by the IR sensor TSOP1738 which triggers the receiver and the bulb goes on automatically upto some duration of time. The total circuit needs a regulated power supply of 9 volts and the circuit has to be placed above the wash basin

    AUTOMATIC WASH BASIN MIRROR LAMP CONTROLLER

    ABSTRACT:
    Now a days large amount power is getting wasted in many places like restaurants, cinema halls as we may forget to switch off the power supply to various devices such as bulb. It is always an added advantage if we have an ease of operation and control of these equipment is automatic .. We provide a solution to this problem by making an automatic switch on and switch off wash basin bulb. In this project we use a transmitter which produces a 38khz square wave from an astable multivibrator and transmits a signal at a particular frequency continuously , whenever a obstacle is encountered the waves get reflected backwards .This reflected signals are received by the IR sensor TSOP1738 which triggers the monostable multivibrator in the receiver and the the bulb goes on automatically upto some duration of time. The total circuit needs a regulated power supply of 9 volts and the circuit has to be placed above the wash basin. BLOCK DIAGRAM :
