Angelita Galo is a 27 year-old patient admitted for operation at the Forbes ward of the University of Santo Tomas. She was born on January 1, 1984 in Nueva Ecija. She used to work as a Sorter at the market in Nueva Ecija. She s been married for four years now and has a 2 year-old baby boy. They both practice Catholic faith. They live with the parents of her husband in a concrete housing at a nearby farm. She came to the hospital with palpitations , weakening and tension. She has been experiencing this for a long time already and The client was referred to the hospital by her physician Dr. Francisco. She first manifested the symptoms during her second year in High school when she often felt palpitations with slight dizziness. It was until the year 2001 when she was diagnosed with the condition Rheumatic Heart Disease. Although symptoms were not really that evident then, she was consistent with her visit to clinics and drinks the prescribed medications. Later in 2007, when she had her first pregnancy, it was the most crucial stage of her life. This is when her illness was at its extent. On the first 5 months of pregnancy, she started to manifest serious symptoms such as the dark red spots that spread all throughout her body. She characterized it with some itching and discomfort. After giving birth, the red spots became darker and have not disappeared until now. She had complications while giving birth related to her condition. Since then, she was not stable anymore. She frequented more in hospitals because she more frequently feels the palpitations and experiences heavy chest pains at her left thorax where the heart has its most mass. She also lost her appetite and lost weight at a significant range.
