Introduccin
As se ahorran recursos fsiles.

more stable. Finally, we also obtained good results with or metal-azo Azo (blue) invented by Mitsubishi, but more expensive at the moment still gives greater reliability. In a prerecorded CD "holes" that serve to encode information, ie 0 and 1, this information is already in the plastic itself. In contrast, in a taxable CD, is a photosensitive intermediate layer, a pigment "dye coating." The laser light reacts to that wavelength and "burn" the pigment, make holes on the layer of pigment. The DVDs are more or less two discs glued together, and only the layer is different. In Spain would have about 3 companies making CDs located in Bcn, Zaragoza, Bilbao. In Barcelona, boasts one of the largest in the country and produce about 2.5 million CD-Rs per month, in other words, 1 disc every 1.7 seconds.
Polycarbonate beans are placed in a machine to remove moisture and then heated to 300 C in order to blend. An injection machine will give the circular shape and then let it cool. It punched the center of the disc and polycarbonate waste is recycled. The next step is the cooler, where lie the records and trained for 20 minutes already containing the track or road where you can record the information. For recordable then given the dye or dye coating (on the CD pre-recorded information has been put into the matrix of polycarbonate injection). This process takes place in a mixing machine where the photosensitive pigment powder, usually the oftalocianina (green) dissolved in dibutyl ether or similar (about 100 ml of solution per disc but only half will be active and the rest is recirculated). At this time the CD passed quality control as the homogenization of the pigment is a key factor for the functionality of the CD. Those who are detected with imperfections are removed. Once it has been pigmented polycarbonate can not be reused in the same process. The CD that pass quality control are a code printed near the center hole. Finally, heat the CD again (this time at 60 C for 20 minutes) to evaporate the solvent to be recovered again. The imperative to achieve a metallic reflective layer that allows the laser to read information in the prerecorded CD is done with a film of aluminum, which is the recordable or rewritable silver for greater reflection is required to pass through the layers where it is located information. An acrylic lacquer is basic protection to prevent "lost" and the metallic pigment, and any deterioration of the pigment by UV radiation. The final screen printed according to customer specifications is made with organic pigments (approx. 10 ml per disc) to be dried with an ultraviolet lamp. In this way are ready to be packaged in individual boxes or reels.
The appearance of the CD seemed likely to reduce paper consumption, since much of the information such as brochures, price lists, etc. are distributed on CD. Although until recently there was any industry interested in recycling, the Basque company CEDERIKA launched in mid-2006 a selective collection system for recycling obsolete CD that you can subscribe to an entrance fee. By subscribing to the service will receive a CD shredder and cardboard container for storage. Then, with an annual fee to access the replacement of the container once it is full and their dispatch to a recycling center that the company has Erandio. The recycling process developed by CEDERIKA is relatively simple. First crusher breaks the polycarbonate CD. Then wash with a fail-inking process and remove the plastic debris cloud as well dell residue containing aluminum or silver. Once dry clean polycarbonate turning it into a silo and then sent to the extruder for mechanical recycling. The process involves heating the polycarbonate to its melting point to take the form of a continuous wire which is then cooled and cut to size of a lentil. This is the pelletizing process that allows again the use of polycarbonate as raw material. Polycarbonate is a material with high transparency and mechanical resistance to impact. This allows different industries can take advantage of this raw material for making glasses, office equipment housings, and miscellaneous utilities for the automotive sector.
can also be donated to libraries and NGOs. Anyway, the interesting thing would be valorsemos a particular interest in audiovisual material before buying a DVD or CD. In the case of music there is the possibility of using song downloads des Internet network and record in MP3 format on an iPod or similar. In the case of films, a video might be a good alternative to purchasing movies if they are just to display once. Some public libraries already include the ability to offer movies on DVD's and music CD's. Useless CDs can be recycled and used in other new products instead of being discarded. This saves fossil fuels, for example in the production of parts for the automotive plastics industry, office equipment and jewel cases. Recycling centers separate metals and plastic coatings, clean them up, crushed and converted into a high quality plastic. This process not only makes sense economically, but also help save oil. However, there is no better recycling technique that avoids the waste. For this reason it insists on handling CDs and DVDs must be responsible. Domestically it is best to take the green dot CDs so they can be transported to recycling companies authorized and properly treated.
Other options
A good way to not dispose of CDs, is to use rewritable CDs. Rewritable CDs can prolong life, entering and outputting data as often as necessary. Old data can be erased and the CD can be used again. However, today there are other ways to store data temporarily, we refer to the pencils or USB memory sticks. With them you can store frequently updated information without producing waste. Today they have the technology to use only CDs only if clearly needed. For rewritable DVDs, the problem is similar. A part of the environmental problems would be wise to assess if you can not temporarily stored on a hard disk, when it comes time information. Japanese multinational SANYO has developed a biodegradable CD, which uses corn as raw material. The new album has been called "MildDisc." The CD and its case are made entirely of starch derived from corn resin (polylactic acid), which turns into water and carbon dioxide after 50 years, an alternative that significantly reduces the environmental impact of such products. The printing of covers, cover and reflective materials are the same as those used to
produce conventional CDs, but these materials represent only between 1 and 3% of the "MildDisc." Between 1983 and 2002 was 26,000 million CDs sold worldwide. Sanyo speculation that demand from "MildDiscs" could reach 10,000 million units per year, however, for the moment is pure marketing image and only in Japan. While making this new CD is used about 85 grains per CD, or a single ear of corn for every 10 units, argue that it is profitable for sale outside Japan. So if Sanyo technicians estimate that meet the expected demand (for the moment, pure whitewash) required 0.1 percent of global annual crop of rice. Another contribution was prompted companies Sony and Toppan Printing have developed a new product called Blu-ray Disc (BD-ROM), which is proposed as a replacement for the current polycarbonate DVD, which consists of a disc of 12 cm as traditional CD, but made of paper. Undoubtedly, a much less impressive alternative that of polycarbonate discs, especially when recycling. The key to this new album is the type of laser used for reading and writing to and from disk. Readers of conventional CDs and DVDs use a red laser, while this new technology will use a blue-violet for data transfer. A much more precise laser that does not require that the disks are so thick as to store the information current. A single layer of paper can store over 25 gigabytes of information which corresponds, for example, two hours of HD video or thirteen hours of standard definition video. An extra advantage of the BD ROM or paper disc Blu-ray, they can be easily destroyed with scissors or a knife, a great security measure for companies interested in having their information comes to foreign hands. The Blu-ray and is currently marketed in different brands in Japan and South Korea DVD recorders with equipment from different manufacturers. It is estimated that the BD ROM will have a shelf life of 10 to 15 years.
