African music
African music is extremely lively, colourful and fun. It is used in so many occasions such as; weddings, funerals, birthdays.

African drumming
In African music, the drum is considered to be the most important of all the instruments. It controls the rhythm. The drummer cant create different beats to symbolise different things. For example, a slow beat, could be used for funerals, and different beats for religion as well. There are hundreds of drums in Africa but the most common drum is one called the djembe. This is a single-head instrument shaped liked a globet and is made in a range of sizes to produce different pitches.
