What is exchange?

Exchange simply means we have a ticket and we are using that value of that ticket for paying for a new ticket we need to issue as result of change in itin. Example Original Itinerary 25Dec DEN SEA 29Dec SEA TO DEN We have a ticket issued for this itinerary with ticket no 0161234567890 For some odd reason we need to change itin. New Itin 27Dec DEN SEA 29Dec SEA DEN. Our ticket 0161234567890 is worth 1000$ and is valid for Original Itin. We need to issue a new ticket for new itin. We exchange our original ticket for new ticket , for new itin. In short we can say we are using value of old ticket for paying for new ticket. We can also say that Old ticket act like FOP. When we exchange Tickets only values we are interested are -: 1) New fare 2) Value for exchange // value of old tickets 3) Penalty.

Even Exchange When Original Fare + Penalty New fare = Zero Possible if we get same fare at which ticket was issued and there is no penalty In case of reissue to due schedule change
