ME/PT BK50A1300 Converting and forming of fibre based packaging lab work

1) The aim of this labwork is to get you familiar with the converting of folding box board 2) Select a rather small item (eg. a pen, a cosmetic bottle.) for which you would like to create a package of folding box board 3) Take a look on existing packages for small items and how they are designed 4) Design a package to be produced of one piece blank for your product 5) Measure the needed dimensions and produce a drawing of the flat blank for this package with Solidworks (2D format) or Autocad (computers in Sammio can be used) 6) Store this as 2D file in .xdf R12 format for the Kongsberg model sample cutter 7) Take this file to the packaging lab and produce the flat blank on the Kongsberg sample cutter 8) Erect the flat blank to a box and verify that your chosen item fits in the package, if not do any needed changes to the drawing and try again
