INDIAN SOCIETY FOR TECHINICAL EDUCATION

What is ISTE ?
ISTE is a national, professional, non-profit making society. First started in
1941 as the association of principals of technical institutions (APTI), it was
converted into “Indian Society for Technical Education” in 1968 to enlarge its
activities to advance the cause of technological education.
ISTE is the only major chapter organized by students in SRKREC.

Why ISTE ?
 Students will be given a chance to give seminars on recent technological
advancements in various fields of engineering.
 Students’ involvement in ISTE enhances their communication skills and
personality along with their technical skills.
 Provides better interaction with seniors, whose guidance & feedback will help
the participants improve themselves.
 Helps students in being more rational and in analyzing a case from various
perspectives.

What does ISTE do ?


 Provides guidance to perform well in Campus Recruitment Tests
by conducting mock tests and mock interviews.
 Conducts various programs like Group Discussions, Debates, etc.
 Organizes national level technical seminars and workshops on Interpersonal &
Managerial skills.

 Largest professional society in India with more than 45,000 members
belonging to educational institutions, industries and R&D organizations.
 More than 1,00,000 student members with 800 student chapters all over
India.
