In business, where there is an ongoing concern for it to run, activities and operations are conditional and conventional. Especially when relationships are involved, the policies and rules in businesses are strictly mandated to comply in order for the business to run properly. In a partnership, partners are like functions. When one seizes to work, the business is demobilized unless other partners shoulder the duty. In the case of Jonas Goldberg and Rande Gedaliah, who were lifelong friends, their business affairs has become in conflict with their relationship. The situation is indeed complicated basing from the experiences that people I know have had. They say, You can make friends in business but dont make business with friends. Its really complicated how you cant bend rules and act professional towards people who you are in a relationship with in business. There must be deeper understanding with each other, or else the business will eat the relationship alive. In the case, Rande has tried to give consideration on Jonas shortcomings but came to the point that the problem had to be resolved. The efforts of Rande trying to resolve the situation was had frittered away due to Jonas half-hearted reaction to in complying with the concern. Although Rande has to understand Jonas situation towards his difficulties with his family and other affairs, it is hard to not feel disappointment after learning that Jonas will withdraw from the partnership that they had put so much effort to together. It makes her feel that Jonas had never truly appreciated the business that they ran together through the years. But even if this is so, everything must go on and move forward. She must settle everything in the business and stabilize its operations while running it with somebody else or alone as a sole proprietorship; and similarly, her relationship with Jonas because relationships outlast a business. Id have to commend Randes actions towards the situation. She acted very responsibly in resolving everything with Jonas and the business. She showed that she still gave importance to the relationship while also being professional for the sake of the business.
