THE REAL TOUR PORTAL Abstract The project THE REAL TOUR PORTAL is developed using OOPS concept.

This Software is developed in ASP .Net as a web application and SQL Server 2000 is used as Back End. The project is developed using OOPS and RDBMS concepts. The software can be run on windows platform. There are so many tourism related sites which provides information. But there is no mechanism to integrate the actual requirement of the tourists visiting Kerala and services we are providing. The supply is not commensurate with the demand. There is no way to choose according to the need and requirement and avail off the services online. The new system provides online services like booking of the best of travel options, medical tourism, house boat holidays, restaurants & hotels, home stays etc. The software is developed as an integrated full-fledged system with the objective of promoting tourism in Kerala. The service providers like travel agencies, hotels, home stay providers, ayurvedic centers concentrating on medical tourism etc can register with the system as clients. Online registration is provided. This is intending to increase the quality of the services offered to the tourists. The major functionalities including in this project are Administrator, User and Client. Administrator is the higher authority in this system. He keeps track of all users and clients of the site. Existing users can login through user form. New users can register an account for further purposes. Recreational facilities and service providers at tourist centers are considered as clients of the system. They have to register first before doing operations. EXISTING SYSTEM

The existing system is a tedious work due to manual data handling of records. Manual search is lower and increase the time required for the details. Manual Data handling leads to the wastage of money and time. The speed and accuracy is less in the existing system. There is a chance of occurring manual errors while handling the transactions at the agency. Also some modifications have to make it a simple and user friendly. Redundancy and inconsistency problems are completely solved in the proposed system. The main entities of our project are 1. 2. User Administrator.

User Module: There are two types of users. Visitors to the site and Tourists. The user module has the following sub divisions. 1. Search All visitors to the system can search for tourist centers in Kerala, as per specific location, district, category and season. They can get information about different recreational facilities available at each Tourist centers and information about facility providers, quality and cost. 2. Registration The tourist who wishes to avail of the facilities provided by DTPC has to register with the system giving all the details. He / she have to provide a user id and password. The registration process, user login process, security checking regard to these is taken care of in this module. 3. Online Booking In this module tourists can book online the following facilities: Home stay, travel agents, Health care centers (Indian System) and hotels / restaurants, one month in advance. They can also make on line payment of bills for booking. They can also cancel the booking and get the payment back after deduction booking charges. 4. Feed back Options to give feed back by the users are coming under this sub module.

Admin Module: This module has the following sub modules. 1. Information Module In this module there provides data about different Tourist centers photos, clippings, audio and video gallery. Addition, deletion and modification of data is taken care of in this module. New centers with all information are added in the system. 2. Client Module Recreational facilities and service providers at tourist centers are considered as clients of the system. They have to register first before doing operations. Therefore in this module online registration of clients, cancellation of a client permit, client login, and security checking are taken care of. 3. Reports & Mail Generation of different reports, sending mails to clients and tourists, providing reports and data are considered here. 4. Advertisements The clients can advertise here .The functionality is developed and executed in this module
