Tel. : 080 - 23471268 E-mail : deepa.academy@gmail.com APPEAL HELP US TO HELP THE DIFFERENTLY ABLED PERSONS ‘The Deepa Academy for the Differently Abled in an NGO, which is working towards the rehabilitation and upliftment of the visually challenged and other disabled children. The Deepa Academy for the differently abled is currently working on four important projects. Apart from the curriculum, the Academy is conducting classes for Music, Fine Arts and Home Science to enable the students in their overall development. The Academy is working on an integrated education program under which, the students who have gained the basic skills like mobility, Braille reading and writing are admitted into the normal schools where the students have the opportunity to get into the main stream of society. The Academy appoints a resource teacher and provides free hostel facilities to the students who come under the IEd programme. The Academy has established a Computer Education Centre for the visually challenged children to provide them IT based education and to help them to compete in this modem world, ‘The Academy is running an English Medium Residential High school for Girls by providing free education, lodging and boarding facilities and medical services to the children. Sports, Cultural Meet, Educational Awards, Counselling and Guidance, Disability Prevention and Community Development for disabled children are our other activities.
