Assignment C : You have discovered an endemic and novel species of jelly fish, Aequorea Mauritiana that appear to fluorescence.

Your Collegues from Australia have kindly bla bla bla. I think everyone has the title, just read it. Our Aim is to: Isolate the gene for the protein responsible for fluorescence. Tool that we have is; Metagenomics, Antibody against green fluorescence Protein In order to do this assignement that we need Background on these different topics covered in class: 1) Gene isolation Techniques 2) cDNA Library(How to make a complementary DNA Library, the different cloning vectors, etc..) 3) Screening Methods (Using Antibody provided by the Australia Fellas) 4) Hybridisation-Northern and Southern Techniques For the time being, try to grab, read and try to understand (I know that genetics sucks) the different above topics. Also try to go through Research papers on Aequorea Victoria, there are many paper on that. Deadlines for these tasks: 1. I know that everyone is busy right now with the MST 3001 research Paper, so the deadline will be for Thursday 27 October, if its possible. Thursday Morning, if everyone is coming to Campus, we discuss and plan tha work for the report or else if we can move the deadline to Saturday after Timols Class. Its up to you guyzzz 2.
