PROXEMICS
PROXEMICS is the study of how man uses space - the space that he maintains between himself and his fellows and which he builds around him In his home and office. The different culture have different norms for social distance. The study of these norms can yield further understanding of the feeling of crowdness.
Four basic distances or zones have been identified: Intimate distance. Personal distance. Social distance. Public distance.
INTIMATE DISTANCE
The distance ranges from touching to one & one-half feet, It permits the expression of love , affection and aggression. The common activities are hugging , kissing&whispering.
