General Objectives:

We group 16 of fourth year block four did this case study to enhance our knowledge and to understand more information about Cholelithiasis and Cholecystitis, thus to give u s an idea of how we could give proper nursing care for our c l i e n t s w i t h t h i s condition, and so that we could apply them on our future exposures as students and eventually as nurses. We also did this case study as a part of our requirement in our clinical duty. Specific Objectives:

To gather and collect the datas needed to identify health problems. Discuss on how the patient acquired the illness, and the process by which the body responds to the situation. To be able to discuss the Anatomy and Physiology of the involve organ and the affected part. To give the Pathophysiology of the disease that is present in our patient. To be able to discuss the applicable nursing management of cholelithiasis and give effective health teachings needed by the patients.

Evaluation of the Study

1. Problems Encountered Our major problem in our case study is the limited time for us to do it because of the practice but we accomplished it within that time given to us. 2. Learning Experiences We have learned a lot from what we have studied and researched regarding cholelithiasis such as the background, factors that contributes and most likely at risk of this certain condition. This case helped us in gaining more knowledge. We are now able to discuss the general assessment of the patient, the anatomy and physiology of the involve organ and the pathophysiology of the disease. It also helped us to become aware on how to render nursing care management and immediate measures for patients having this case through knowing the clients needs and therefore implementing the nursing interventions effectively. In addition, this is a good learning experience for us to be prepared and more equipped with more knowledge for the next same case we will handle.
