Jesus washed
His disciples' feet
to teach them a
very important
lesson which they
should follow as
His friends. He
came to serve and
not to be served.
(Mt. 20:28).
He did this by reaching out
and serving those who needed Him.
Jesus showed us how to serve by
washing the feet of His apostles. He
is our Lord and yet, He served
others. He calls us to follow His
example. He calls us to serve God
by loving and serving one another.
Jesus in the HoIy Eucharist
reminds us about this important
mission He gave us.
. He calls us to love and serve
Him through the people around
us.
2. He gives us Himself as our
spiritual food which will make us
strong in doing this mission.
t the end of the Mass, after we
have received the Eucharist, the priest
reminds us of our duty when he says,
Go in peace to love and serve the
Lord." e are asked to serve the
Lord by sharing His love and
goodness to others.

joy to Jesus for giving Himself to us to
help us live a life of love and service to
others. e also thank Him for giving us
His Body and Blood that will make us
strong in showing our love for Him and
