System Programming

2.1 General Programming Instructions


* This system has a default factory setting. If any of the programming needs to be changed, the user can change the setting by system programming. * System programming can only be performed from extension 8001. * The user should input the password to enter the system programming. * Press * to start programming a system setting. Enter the code and parameters for changing a system setting. Press # to complete the programming of a system setting. To correct a wrong system setting, press * to do the programming of a system setting again. There is no need to hang up telephone. * After programming a system setting, a long confirmation tone is sent indicates that the system setting has been successful. A series of short "Beeps" tone is sent indicates that the system setting was unsuccessful. Please check or reset the unit.

2.3 System Program Password Entry


Format: * * 01 ABCD # ABCD = System Program Password. Description: Allows the user to enter system programming by system program password,suppose the password is 1234 .

2.4 Change System Program Password


Format: * 02 ABCD # ABCD = New password (Default password = 1234) Example, you want to change the password to 0000 :

Example: Default password is 1234. We suggest to change the password before using PABX. If the user wants to change the password to 5678, the user should input * *01 1 2 3 4 # to enter system, then input * 02 5 6 7 8 # to change the password to 5 6 7 8. When you forget program password, please contact with your dealer to restore the password by Remote Program function.

2.5 Change Personal Password


Format: * 04 abcd # abcd = New Personal Password Description: Enable make outgoing calls on any restricted extension by password. The default password is 1234, please change the password before using. Example: Change personal password from 1234 to 3456.

2.6 Restore To Default Mode


Format: * 6 000 # Description:This format to restore the system to avoid useless data left after testing. Note: This format is not restore the CO line Open mode, Extension Number and Call Bill Memory.

2.7 Enable External (CO) Line


Format: * 3 a b c # abcdef = CO Line ports number = 1 to 3 (default) Description: Assigns which external ( CO ) line is connected to which CO line port. Example : The CO line port 1, 3. is connected with CO lines, it is correspond to CO line 1, 2.

2.8 External (CO) Line Ringing Extension At Operator Attendant


Format: * 1m abcd # m = CO Line port number abcd = Extension Port Number = 1 to 8 Description: The user can select which extension(s) must ring, when there is an incoming call on an external CO line. Example, Assign Ext. 803 and 806 to ring when external call on CO line 2.

2.9 Certain Extension Make External Call Mode


Format: * 8 abc n # abc = Extension number; n = 0 = Dial 9 or tap the hook-switch n =1 = Direct Description: The extension can be programmed to have access to the external CO line by dial 9 or tap the hook-switch (n=0) or to have direct access (n =1). Example: Assign extension 803 to have direct access to the external line.

Format: * abc abc = extension number Description: The user should dial * before desired extension number to make internal call when extension is in Direct External Dial Mode; Access to CO line by dial 9 first (n=0) means the extension will enter Internal line as soon as it is picked up, need to dial 9 first to get the external dial tone before dial external number. When n = 0, the user can make internal call by dial desired extension number directly. Direct access to CO line ( n= 1) means the extension will enter external line as soon as it is picked up, allow to dial external number directly. When n = 1, the user can make internal call by dial * before desired extension number. When all CO lines are busy, the extension will auto-enter internal line, the user can dial desired extension number directly.

2.10 Cancel Direct External Dial Mode


Format: * 8 000 # Description: The extension can be programmed to have access to the external CO line by dial 0 or tap the hook-switch.

2.11 All CO Lines At Operator Attendant Mode


Format: * 2 1 # Description: Assigned ringing extension will ring when CO line is received, pick up extension to answer the call.

2.13 Certain CO Lines At Auto-Attendant Mode


Format: * 2 0 m # m = CO line port number = 1 to 3 Description: Assign Auto-attendant mode for certain CO lines, while other CO lines remain in Operator-attendant mode. Example: Assign CO 2 at Auto-attendant, and assign remain CO lines at operator attendant mode.

2.14 Outgoing Message Record ( For 1 OGM models )

Example: "This is A company, For the sales division, press 812. For the service division, press 824. To call operator, press 0 " Description: The unit will answer the call and play an out going message. The calling party has option to dial the number of internal extension directly e.g.803 or dial 0 to operator extension 802. The system will select an idle extension from 803 to answer the external call when extension 802 is busy. * A Beep tone to start recording and another Beep tone to end of record. * Limitless times to record message, new message overwrite old one.

2.15 Out Going Message Playing ( For 1 OGM Models)


Format: * 2 3 # Description: Listen to the Out Going Message (OGM) recording and to test the quality of the telephone. * This program is not react on for model 108,208,308 that has 3 pieces OGM. For 1 OGM models only.

2.16 DISA Optional At Auto-Attendant ( For 1 OGM Models)


A1. Format: * 25 1 # If the external caller doesn't enter any correct extension number within a certain period, then the call will be released. A2. Format: * 25 2 # If the external caller doesn't enter any correct extension number within a certain period, then the call will be transferred to extension 802. B1. Format: * 25 3 # The call will be released when desired extension is no answer after external caller dial the extension number within a certain period. B2. Format: * 25 4 # The call will be transferred to extension 802 when desired extension is no answer after external caller dial the extension number within a certain period. Description: Have 4 kinds of combination for DISA: A1B1, A1B2,A2B1,A2B2. Default = A1B1. * This program is not react on for model 108,208,308 that has 3 pieces OGM. For 1 OGM models only.

2.17 Operator No.1 At Auto-Attendant Mode (For 3 OGM model)


Format: * 2 5 abc # abc = extension number ( Default = Ext.802) Description: Assign an extension to be Operator No 1 at Auto Attendant Mode. When external caller dial 0, his call will be transferred to operator. Example: Assign extension 806 to be Operator No.1

2.18 Operator No.2 At Auto-Attendant Mode (For 3 OGM model)


Format: * 2 6 abc # abc = extension number Description: Assign an extension to be Operator No.2 at Auto Attendant Mode. The incoming call will be auto-transferred to Operator No. 2 when Operator No.1 is busy. Example: Assign extension 807 to be Operator No. 2.

2.19 Out Going Message Record (For 3 OGM Models)


Format: * 2 2 N # N = 1 = OGM 1 = Maximum 15 seconds N = 2 = OGM 2 = Maximum 7.5 seconds N = 3 = OGM 3 = Maximum 7.5 seconds Description: Allows the extension assigned as an operator or manager to record up to 3 outgoing voice message. This message is played when a external caller accesses the DISA feature. Example: OGM 1: "This is A company, For the sales division, press 8003. For the service division, press 8006. For fax, press 8008, To call operator, press 0 " Description: The unit will answer the call and play an out going message. The calling party has the option to dial the number of internal extension directly e.g.8003 or dial 0 for the operator. OGM 2: " We are sorry. The line is currently busy, you could dial other extension number, if you want to call the operator, press 0 " Description: The unit will play out going message in the case of desired extension is busy. If the external caller does not enter any correct extension number within a certain period, then the call will be released. OGM 3: "We are sorry. The line is no answer, you could dial other extension number, if you want to call the operator, press 0 " Description: The unit will play an out going message in the case of desired extension is no answer after the caller dial the extension number within a certain period. If the external caller does not enter any other correct extension number within a certain period, then the call will be released.

2.20 Out Going Message Playing


Format: * 2 3 N # N = 1 = Play OGM 1 N = 2 = Play OGM 2 N = 3 = Play OGM 3. Description: To listen to the Out Going Message (OGM) recording and to test the quality of the telephone. * A Beep tone to start recording and another Beep tone to end of record. * Limitless times to record message, new message overwrite old one. * Recording in the quiet surroundings by high quality telephone, require lifts up handset to record.

2.21 Holding Music Playing


Format * 2 4 # Description: This system is integrated with internal Holding Music. Listen internal or external holding music for a short period, and to test the quality of telephone. Plug the external Holding Music source into external Music Input port, then the system will play external Holding Music instead of internal built holding music.

2.22 Hook-Switch Flash Time Range


Format: * 8 1m # m = flash time m = 1 = 750ms m = 2 = 1000ms m = 3 = 1200ms m = 4 = 1500ms m = 5 = 2000ms Description: FLASH means tap the hook-switch fleetly, it is as same as to lifts up handset apace after hang up. Flash Time is the period since after hang up to re-lift up handset. If re-lift up handset after assigned flash time, the line will be released. If re-lift up handset in the assigned flash time, the system will know that the user is ready to transfer a call, the line will be keep on. Suppose flash time is 1200ms, if you do not re-lift up handset in 1200ms, the line will be released; if re-lift up handset after 1200ms, you can dial new number; if re-lift up handset in 1200ms, you can transfer a call. Example: Assign flash time to 1000ms.

Other extensions has not right to access it even if exclusive CO line is free, but the authorized extension can access other idle CO line. Example: Exclusive CO line 2 of extension 808 assignment.

2.30 Certain Extension(s) To Access Only One Appointed CO Line

Even if other CO lines are free, the assigned extension(s) disable to access those idle CO lines. But the incoming call on other CO line(s) can be transferred to assigned extension.. Example: Extension 806 to use CO line 2 only. Format:

3.1 Extension Make External Call


Mode 1 Direct dial external number Description: Dial external number directly when the extension is at direct external dial mode Mode 2 Dial 9 Description: Dial 9 to enter external line before dial external number when the extension is at non-direct external dial mode, system will auto-search one free CO line. Mode 3 Tap hook-switch Description: Tap hook-switch to enter external line before dial external number when the extension is at non-direct external dial mode, system will auto-search one free CO line. Mode 4 # N (Select Line) N = CO line port number = 1~6 Description: Dial # first, then dial desired CO line port number, the Ext will enter that CO line if desired CO line is free, otherwise send the busy tone. Mode 5 # 61 abcd ( At non-direct outgoing mode) * # 61 abcd ( At direct outgoing mode) abcd = Personal Password Description: Enable make outgoing calls on any restricted extension by password. Example: Ext.803 has restricted to make outgoing call, suppose your password is 5678, you can input # 61 5678 on Ext.803 first, then input CO line number. * This feature is react on for 1 piece OGM model only. * Only administrator has personal password. Format: * + abc abc = Desired extension number Description: Dial * to get internal dial tone before dial desired extension number. Example: The user of extension 805 wants to make internal call to extension 808 (Extension 805 is at direct external dial mode)

3.3 Extension Make Internal Call At Non-direct External Dial Mode


Format: abc abc = Desired extension number Description: An extension can make an internal call to another extension by lift the receiver to dial desired extension number directly. Example: The user of extension 805wants to make internal call to extension 808. (Extension 805 is at non-direct external dial mode)

3.4 Answer External Call By Ringing Extension


At operator attendant mode The assigned ringing extension(s) will ring when has external call on CO line. Pick up ringing extension to answer the call directly. At Auto-attendant mode Non of extensions will ring, external caller is listening outgoing message, caller can dial desired extension number, the corresponding extension will ring, pick up that extension to answer the call.

3.5 Answer External Call By Non-Ringing Extension ( Call Pick Up)


Format 1: # 7 ( At non-direct outgoing mode) Format 2: * # 7 ( At direct outgoing mode) Description: Allows a user of a non-ringing extension to answer a call that is ringing on another extension

3. 6 Transfer External Call To Another Extension


Format: Hook Switch + abc abc = desired extension number Description: Allows an Ext to transfer a received external call to another Ext. Example: Ext 802 receive an external call, and She wants to transfer this call to extension 805.

There are 4 different cases when A is transfers an External call to B: a) Ext.A doesn't hang up, Ext. B lifts the handset Communication between A and B is established. The external caller is put on hold with music. Whoever hangs up ( A or B ), the system will transfer the external call to the other. b) Ext.A doesn't hang up, Ext.B doesn't answer within 25 seconds. Ext. A will be reconnected to external caller and Ext B will stop ringing, c) Ext. A hangs up and Ext.B answers external caller within 25 seconds; d) Ext. A hangs up, but Ext. B doesn't answer the external call within 25seconds. The external caller will be transferred back to Ext. A. If A does not answer in 25 seconds or when it is busy, the external call will be released.

3.7 Boss & Secretary Function


Format: Hook Switch + abc abc = desired extension number Description: Secretary can initiate an external call and then transfer call to boss. Example: Secretary (Ext.802) is initiates an external call, then transfer call to boss (Ext.801).

3.8 Party Conference ( between 2 Exts And 1 CO Line)


Format: Hook-switch + * + abc abc = desired extension number Description: Allows an extension on an external call to add another extension for a 3 party conference call. Example: Extension 802 is talking with CO line, and 802 wants to transfer external call to 805 to build three parties conference.

Have two cases when Ext.A is transferring CO line call to Ext.B 1. Ext.A does not hang up, Ext.B lifts handset to answer. Thus, Ext.A,Ext.B and CO line will estiblish 3 parties conference. Whoever A or B is hangs up, the other party will be remain with CO line. 2. Ext.A does not hang up, Ext.B does not answer in 25 seconds. Thus, Ext.A will re-connect with CO line, Ext.B will stop ringing.

3.9 External Call On Holding


Format: Hook-switch + # 99 Description: When the user is on an external conversation, a call waiting tone informs user there is another external call is waiting. The user can answer the waiting call by tap hook switch to get internal dial tone and then dial # 99. That will put the first caller on holding and connect with second caller. After second caller hangs up, the user will be reconnected to the first caller. Note: User should apply Call Waiting service from Local Telecom Office first.

3.10 Call Forwarding


Format: # 0 abc abc = extension number of destination Description: Enable auto-transfer in-calls from one extension to another extension. Example: You need to go to another office has extension number 807 for some business. You can activate Call Forwarding on your extension 805, after assigned, all calls to Ext.805 will be auto- transferred to Ext.807.

To cancel Call Forwarding, the user must lift handset and then replace handset. The system will auto-cancel call forwarding after about four hours in the case the user forget to cancel it. Nothing can be heard on assigned extension and can not carry on any other operating until the assignment is cleared.

3.11 Priority Access


Format: # 9 n n = CO line port number =1 to 3 Description: Allows user of Ext.801 to access a certain CO line even though other people are using that CO line. Example; Ext 801access CO line 3 even if CO 3 is busy.

3.12 Self-Report Extension Number


Format: # 81 Format: * # 81 ( At direct outgoing out mode) Description: To know extension number by listening indication tones. 10 times of continuous Beep tone is denote 0. Example: Input #81 on Ext.803,hear 8 times Beep tone, pause 1.5sec, another 10 times Beep tone is play, pause 1.5 sec, the last 3 times Beep tone is play. That inform you the extension number is 803.

Format: * 4 3 abc n # abc = Extension number n= 0 = Disable n= 1 = Enable Description: Voice recorder will auto-start to record assigned extension as soon as the extension is get through with CO line. Example: Enable auto-record extension 805 and 808.
