Overview:
This is a technical certification field technicians that validates the knowledge and competency needed to service and maintain the HP A, E and V networking series of products. The supporting training provides the technical professional with an effective technician field methodology that includes the understanding of HP networking products including switches, wireless devices and routers.

Target Audience:
HP channel partner or HP employee technical professionals who provide break/fix services for HP networking hardware.

Summary of Requirements:
The candidate for certification must complete 1 core requirement exam.

Superseded Certification and Upgrade Path:

APS Networking [2010] supersedes APS ProCurve Networking [2008] which cannot be attained after 1 November 2010. Due to the extensive nature of the changes in HP networking technology, there is no delta training or exam. All candidates for certification must complete the web-based exam HP2-Z12.

Why earn this certification?

This certification and its associated training prepare a hardware technician to: Understand how to use LEDs, CLI command and the accompanying reports to identify common problems. Repair or replace FRUs (Field Replaceable Units) and learn how to verify that new units are operational. Know how to complete basic installation and configuration tasks. Identify business opportunities for Matrix and for the customer to transition to a converged infrastructure.
