Criteria for PASS P6.1.1. Case Study

A computer network is developed by linking computer systems together. This includes the components such as computer systems, the connections and the hardware needed to allow the communication.

NetLanka is a well established private sector organization where it has several local branches and little number of international branches. At present the organization transfers the data physically. With the expansion of the organization, there was a need to establish the network unit. The organization employed you as the Network Administrator in the organization.

Task 01

Some people in the management level are knowledgeable in Networking and IT whereas the others are not. You were being invited to conduct a discussion session with all the management level employees on the topic of expanding the network unit.

Task 02 With the successful management discussion the organization realize that it is required to expand the network unit. 2.1 Prepare a technical report to the management including the proposed network solution. (P6.1.1) 2.2 You thought of conduct a presentation about this to your local organization employees. Describe the reading techniques could be used when making a presentation. (P6.1.2) 2.3 List and briefly describe the steps of a well organized presentation.

Task 04 You received several applications with the covering letters to the position of Network Assistant. 4.1 Explain about the main elements which you will look in a perfect CV and a covering letter.
