Materials/ Apparaturs: Yeast, sugar, warm water, test tube and balloon. Method : (SMS1-C2, C3, C4) 1. 2 teaspoons of yeast and 1 teaspoon of sugar are put into a test tube. 2. The test tube is then half-filled with warm water. 3. A balloon is attached to the mouth of the test tube. 4. Steps 1 to 3 are repeated for another test tube but without the yeast. 5. The test tubes are then placed on the test tube rack and left for about 20 minutes. 6. Condition of the balloons after 20 minutes are observed and recorded.
