Teaching Philosophy
Effective teaching allows for growth in both the teacher and the student. To facilitate this growth a teacher must be attentive to
each student’s needs and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Mistakes are not to be reprimanded but encouraged and received
in a safe, supportive environment where they can be addressed and strengthened. A teacher must instruct while preserving
individuality and self expression, be sensitive while maintaining high expectations, and cultivate independent, intuitive learners
ready to think critically about the world.
