Introduction:
THE LITTLE ONES is a retail store for kids wear with good quality and latest trends. We present an extensive range of kids wear that are manufactured using different fabrics such as Cotton, Silk, Wool and others. Available in a wide range of gorgeous colors, designs and prints, these apparels are designed keeping in mind the most up-to-date fashion trends.

To offer continuous value added products to our customers. To accomplish this, we focus on exceptional design, innovation, quality, convenience and interactive communication.

Location :

To start with,we would locate our store in Momentz Mall, Kirti Nagar Central Delhi. The mall would provide good footfall in our store. As lot of young couples and single mothers visit these malls, and hence our store would attract their attention. As we have incorporated a play area in our store, which would be visible from outside also, therefore, it would pull lot of kids towards it.

Mind of consumers

All the kids shopping is done by parents, so the store has to be appealing enough for kids as well as parents. A colorful store with enough space to move around and the play area for kids would attract more parents. Our store has both color as well as playing area.

PLANOGRAM :

Size of the store is 1200 sqft in area. Therefore, 1200*4 = 4800 merchandise on display, hence approximately, 4 merchandise to be kept in 1 sqft of area.

EXPLANATION OF EACH SECTION :

The total area of the store is 1200 sqft, since our store is going to be rectangular in shape therefore we have divided our length and breadth as follows:

400 sq ft

100 sqft for play area, 150 sqft for door and baggage and 150 sqft for the visual merchandise. 100 sqft for the area, 200 sqft for the girls merchandise which will have waterfall rack for tops, skirts and t-shirts. 200 sqft for the trial room , 100 sqft each for girls and boys. And 100 sqft on either side of the trial room for foot wear. 100 sqft for cash counter, 200 sqft for boys merchandise. Rest of the space in the middle would br utilized for new arrivals and other gondola racks.

Rent of the store: 1,68,000/- p.m.(Rs.140 per sq.feet) CAM charges: 9600/- p.m. In-store sales staff: 54,500/-(25000 manager,6500*3 salesmen,5000*2 guards) Electricity: 10,000/Promotion: 2,00,000/- for the 1st year Value of total Inventory: 5,03,820/FURNITURE & FIXTURES: 1,00,000/Total expenses in one month: 10,45,920/Total merchandise =1917(1ST Month we sell 400*800=Rs.320000,2nd Month600*800=480000,3rd Month 800*800=640000) In the 3rd month (suppose third month is from 1stmarch-31st march, we would reorder our merchandise) In the 4th month we have a dead stock of 117,which we sell either as discounts or BOGOFs,etc Total expenses in first three months:15,30,120/Revenue: 24,20,430/10% depreciation:242043/Hence, total profit of the store after the sales of the first three months: Rs. 24,20,430 Rs. 2,42,043 Rs. 15,30,120 = Rs. 6,48,267/-

This is not our total profit as we have sold all our inventory in the first three months Hence to replenish it we would have to get more skus in the store. Those would only be purchased from the profit that we have earned in the first three months. Hence, it can be a break-even point after the first three months that we have achieved or maybe we would have to bear a loss of a very less amount so as to replenish our stock.
