The Enhanced K+12 Basic Education Program here in the Philippines will be implemented this coming S.Y. 20122013.

It has been started by the Aquino administration where students will have to undergo a new system of education. The K+12 System will basically include the Universal kindergarten, 6 years of elementary, 4 years of junior high school with an additional 2 years for senior high school. The government also aims for the improvement of the system of Education here in the Philippines. The program also aims to meet the standards required for professionals who would want to work abroad. Many people disagreed about the implementation of K+12. There are students complaining of the additional years and there are parents who are not in favor of the additional expenses. For me, K + 12 is really beneficial, for those who have problems with the incompetent teachers. The DepEd can produce competent and effective teachers but considering that, they will only teach the lessons that will be suited for you. Dont expect that he/she will teach you in advance, therefore, we really need two more years to educate more the minds of the Filipinos to become globally competitive.
