1 requires : JSE Runtime Environment (JRE) version 5.0 or later , Apache-tomcat-5.5.23 jsp/servlet Container and Mysql 4.1 or later versions (1) Download and Install the JRE (1.1) Download the Java Standard Edition Runtime Environment (JRE), release version 5.0 or later, from http://java.sun.com/j2se. (1.2) Install the JRE according to the instructions included with the release. (1.3) Set the environment variable i.e. JAVA_HOME to the pathname of the directory into which you installed the JRE, e.g. c:\jd 5.0 or /usr/local/java/jd 5.0. (2) Download and Install the Tomcat Binary Distribution. (2.1) Download a binary distribution of Tomcat from: http://tomcat.apache.org (2.2) Unpac the binary distribution into a convenient location so that the distribution resides in its own directory (conventionally named "apache-tomcat-[version]"). For the purposes of the remai nder of this document,the symbolic name "$CATALINA_HOME" is used to r efer to the full pathname of the release directory. (3) Running the cart 1.1 (3.1)Unzip the cart1.1.zip file and copy webapplication folder in to you r tomcat webapps folder. Then rename webapplication into cart. (3.2)open file "Database.sql" from cart directory and copy sql commands and run them with your mysql database. (3.2)Go in to the directory cart\WEB-INF and open file jdbc.properties and change the values of jdbc.username and jdbc.password accordi ng to your mysql database username and password and save it. (3.3)Now start the tomcat and type the url http://localhost:8080/cart in your browser and press "go" button ,you will see the home page o f your shopping cart application. (3.4)for admin section type the url http://localhost:8080/cart/pages/adm in /adminlogin.jsp.For admin login use username=admin and password= password.
