The Vox Compact Spanish and English Dictionary is a dictionary that gives translations of both Spanish and English

words. The Vox edition is a bidirectional dictionary, meaning that it has two sections, one use for English translations and another for Spanish translations. In addition to translations, The Vox provides brief grammar and parts of speech descriptions for both languages in the other language to help users know how to structure their speech.

Features

There are six appendices. The first one entitled false friends lists Spanish and English words that appear to be words that have the same meaning (cognates), but in fact have different meanings. The second appendix gives an example of how to write letters and e-mails in both of the languages and provides a few common phrases used in letters. The last appendices are translations for numbers, conversion for weights and measures, common phases and their translations, and maps.
