    Current Research My current research topic involves using Bayesian Inference Calibration Techniques to detect damage in a steel frame

    model. Through the use of B&Ks software and equipment, we are able to extract modal data from our steel frame model and use it in the calibration process. A Gaussian Process Model for Simulation Analysis (GPM/SA) from Los Alamos National Laboratory is used for the calibration. The damage scenarios currently being tested involve the removal of bolts from a connection in order to simulate a loss in stiffness.
