RANCANGAN BOOKLET BANDUNG TOURISM COMPETITION 2012

1. BANDUNG TOURISM COMPETITION 2012 Bandung Tourism Competition 2012 is a marketing plan competition that sets its goal to develop and improve tourism value in around Bandung. 2. GUNUNG TANGKUBAN PERAHU Tangkuban Perahu is one of the mountain located in the province of West Java, Indonesia. About 20 km to the north of the city of Bandung, the surrounding pine trees grow and spread tea gardens. The cool air and beautiful views of the crater and the place outbound tourism also makes you seem more exciting. Tangkuban Parahu is as high as 2084 meters altitude. These mountains form the center of the eruption is Stratovulcano that moves from east to west. This one stop tourism spot offers not only natural and shopping attractions, but also legend. 3. EVENTS SCHEDULE a. Registration - May 7th June 2nd 2012 S1 or D3 students from any majors from universities across Indonesia may apply by forming a team of 3 persons, and once submitted the application form and paid the registration fees, teams will be notified as registered participants. b. Workshop - June 9th 2012 All approved teams will be invited to participate in the Bandung Tourism Competition 2012 Workshop. In this workshop, participants will get the chance to get further information about Gunung Tangkuban Perahu and also meet marketing experts. c. Marketing Plan Submission Weeks June 9th - June 20th 2012 After participating in the Workshop, all teams will be given the time of three weeks to finalize their marketing plan. The marketing plan should be submitted before the deadline, or else, teams will be disqualified from the competition. d. Top 10 Announcement - June 26th 2012 The marketing plan will be judged by experts and 10 best marketing plans will be advanced to the final stage of the competition. e. Grand Finale - July 1st 2012 The announced top 10 teams will have to attend the Grand Finale. Teams must present their marketing plan in front of three professional judges and other advanced participants. The winners will also be announced during the day. 4. A. DRESS CODE Workshop Pria Formal Outfit (Almamater, collar shirt, pants, shoes) Wanita Formal Outfit (Almamater, collar shirt, skirt/pants, shoes) Grand Final Pria Formal Outfit (Suit, collar shirt, tie, pants, pantofel shoes) Wanita Formal Outfit (Blazer, collar shirt, skirt, formal shoes) Participants ID Card will be given before the event start and must be worn during the events.

B.

PARTICIPATIONS a. All registered participants must participate in the Workshop, and for the selected top 10 finalists must participate in all sessions of Grand Finale. b. All teams must bring one empty flashdisk and one laptop. c. Participants shows polite and responsible attitude. d. Foods and beverages are prohibited in the workshop room. e. Smoking, alcohols, and drugs are strictly prohibited during all events (including break time) f. Participants are allowed to attend the events with company from their university, but they are not allowed to enter the workshop and grand final rooms. g. During the grand final, participants are allowed to bring supporters, but they are fully under participants responsibilities and must obey to the rules given

C. PRESENTATION a. Selected top 10 finalists will be announced 6 days before the grand final. b. Selected top 10 finalists will give the presentation of their submitted proposal. Each presentation sessions is 10 minutes long. c. Seluruh tim finalis diwajibkan mempersiapkan bahan presentasi dalam bentuk softcopy microsoft power point 2007 (.pptx) yang dikirimkan kepada panitia melalui email btc paling lambat H-1 Grand Final dengan format dan subject email powerpoint-namatimnamauniversitas.pptx d. All finalists must prepare their presentation in the form of softcopy of microsoft power point 2007 (.pptx) and send it to the committee by email and dues in 1 day before the grand finale a. File name must be powerpoint-teamname-universityname.pptx b. Email subject name must be powerpoint-teamname-universityname.pptx e. All finalists must create merchandise designs or others designed innovations, and must bring the authentic proof. f. All finalists must bring 5 (five) hand out hardcopy from the presentation and give it to the committee later on the grand final.

g. Participants are able to make the presentation with other attractive media which has been coordinated with the committe.

D. DISCUSSION a. Presentation will be systematic, there will be judges who serve the final judgement and moderator to lead the discussions. b. Participation in giving or interrupting statements must be under the control of the moderator. c. Every statements must verbally spoken in formal, polite and communicative manner. d. Every finalists are given 10 (ten) minutes to present, 5 (five) minutes Q&A session with other finalists and 10 (ten) minutes Q&A session with the judges.

E. PROPOSAL The content of the proposal is a plan of improvement or development of Gunung Tangkuban Perahu and must include the aspects of marketing management and tourism business. Participants are freely search for sources and allowed to bring during the grand final presentation, but all the sources must be included in the presentation. Participants are also allowed to visit and observe Gunung Tangkuban Perahu.

Proposal Details: 1. Proposal Layout Bab I : Pendahuluan (Latar Belakang, Perumusan Masalah, Tujuan Penulisan, Metode Penulisan) Bab II : Pembahasan Bab III : Penutupan (Solusi dan Saran)

2. 10 (ten) pages minimum. 3. Format: Bahasa Indonesia Paper size A4 Content Font Arial, 12 Title Font Arial, 16 Margin top 3,75 cm, right-left 2,5 cm, bottom 2,5 cm Spacing 1,5 lines It is allowed to creatively design, but still under the format rules

Late submissions are not accepted and will be disqualified. Judges decisions are final.

6. HOW TO APPLY 1. Active S1 or D3 students, 2. Form a team of 3 persons from the same university, and it is allowed to have different faculties, 3. Plagiarisms are strictly prohibited, all proposals must be original made 4. Application forms due date is June 6th 2012, 23.59 PM, and applicants will be given the acceptance email from the committee. If not, we would like to have you to contact us for further confirmation in only 1x24 hours. 6. After successfully registered, applicants must pay the admission fee 7. ACCOMODATIONS The committee will not cover any accomodations participants need during the competition, but will only serve transportations for participants from the associated hotels to the competition venue, if needed, please dont hesitate to contact us for further information about accomodation terms and conditions and list of associated hotels. 8.
