Account Number and Account Type

Account number consists of 7 digits. The first 4 digits of the account number are named as Primary Code whiles the subsequent 3 digits as Secondary Code. XXXX/XXX

Table below shown the standard range of Account Number for Primary Codes that usually be used for the relevant account type:Account Number (Primary Code) 1000 to1999 2000 to 2999 3000 only 3001 to 3999 4000 only 4001 to 4999 5000 to 5999 6000 to 6999 7000 to 7999 8000 to 8999 9000 to 9999 Account Type Capital account or accounts related to capital Fixed assets account Debtors account Any other current assets accounts except debtors Creditors account Any other liability accounts except creditor Sales, revenues or any other income accounts All the component account under cost of goods sold All the component account under manufacturing account All the component account after net profit such as taxation expenses, divided expenses and etc. All the component account in between gross profit and net profit such as petrol, stationary , salaries and etc.
