AIM: VOLTAGE FEED INVERTER: This converter has two feedback loops: speed loop and the power

factor loop. the shaft position sensing unit Connection Procedure 1. Connect the sigle phase AC supply at R,Y &B terminals in PEC16DSM01 trainer. 2. Connect the U,V&W terminals(swiching output connector)in the PEC16DSM01 trainer to the 7pin supply connector at the motor 3. connect the 17 pins feedback connector at the motor into hall sensor Signal conditioner(through 9 pin D connector) 4. Connect the 34 pin FRC header(P8) in micro-2407 trainer one end to the hall sensor signal conditioner and the there end to the PMW outputs from DSP in the PEC16DSM01 trainer. 5. Connect the serial port of PC to the serial port connector (P2) in the MICRO-2407 trainer. 6. Connect the 26 pin FRC cable one end to (P6) connector placed in MICRO -2407 trainer and othe end to ADC input to DSP in PEC16DSM01 Module.

EXPEIMENT PROCEDURE: 1. Verify the connections as per the connection procedure and wiring diagram. 2. Switch ON the MICRO-2407 DSP trainer. 3. Power On the IPM Power Module (PEC16DSM01) and MCB. 4. Check whether shut down LEDSD glows or not. If LEDSD glows press the reset switch, the LED gets OFF. 5. Switch ON the set switch SW1 in the down position(serial mode)of MICRO-2407 DSP trainer then press RESET switch. 6. Select the BLDC.exe icon in the PC. 7. Select FILE and click OPEN Port 8. From the displayed window, select the connected port(COMP1,2,3,4) then click OK 9. Now select the Motor Controller------> BLDC. 10. Here we can select the desired controller OPEN LOOP or CLOSED LOOP.

OPEN LOOP CONTROL: 1. Select the open loop controller option. 2. From the graphical display click DOWNLOAD and reset the2407 kit once and select the BLDCOL.ASC file from respective path

3. After clicking the command DOWNLOADED SUCCESFULLY click EXECUTE to execute the downloaded file. 4. Now check the PWM output and hall sensor output which are all terminated in the Power module. 5. After ensuring all the connections apply the input voltage slowly to 450V (DC rail voltage, which is shown in the power modules voltmeter. 6. To run the motor in forward/reverse direction or to run/brake, use the options given in the software. 7. The set speed and motor speed are shown in the LCD and in the PC with graphical representations. 8. The Phase current, DC current waveforms are plotted in the plotting section. CLOSED LOOP CONTROL: Select the closed loop controller option. 1. From the graphical display click DOWNLOAD and reset the2407 kit once and select the BLDCCL.ASC file from respective path 2. After clicking the command DOWNLOADED SUCCESFULLY click EXECUTE to execute the downloaded file. 3. Now check the PWM output and hall sensor output which are all terminated in the Power module. 4. After ensuring all the connections apply the input voltage slowly to 450V (DC rail voltage, which is shown in the power modules voltmeter. 5. To run the motor in forward/reverse direction or to run/brake, use the options given in the software. 6. Various current wave forms are plotted in the Plotting sections Precautions: 1. Before downloading the Program BLDCOL.ASC/BLDCCL.ASC ensure that the SPDT switch in 2407 kit is in downward 2. The DC bus voltage should not exceed 450V. RESULT: Hence the speed control of BLDC motor using IPM and MICRO-2407 is observed in open loop and closed loop.

SPEED CONTROL OF 3 INDUCTION MOTOR USING MULTILEVEL INVERTER AND MICRO-2407 CONNECTION PROCEDURE:

1. Connect the supply card to the step down transformer from the usual socket. 2. Connect the Output terminals P&N of the Module. 3. Connect the Output terminals R out, Y out & B out of the module of the motor generator set provide with the speed sensor. 4. Connect the other end of the speed sensor to QEP Signal Conditioner card. 5. Connect one end of the 34pin cable to QEP
