The Field Mobility
- Demonstrations broke out in most Syrian governorates, including the Damascus neighborhoods of Al-Damir, the old Al-Zahara King Faisal St, Hama's Qalaat Al-Madiq, the Homs districts of AlWaar and Al-Quseir, University of Aleppo and the Daraa village of Al-Mataeya.(1)(9) are reclaimed. It is Al-Assad's regime that has dealt with Israel and allowed it to remain in the Golan. The Syrian opposition figure Nofal Dawalibi's announcement of the formation of a transitional government does not represent the Syrian opposition, or the SNC, or any Syrian citizen.(1)

The Internal Situation


- An unknown group, which calls itself the "Front in support of the Levantine people", claimed responsibility for the bombing of Iran's Cultural Chancellery in Damascus last week.(5)(9) - The Local Coordination Committees documented the martyrdom of 141 people, who have been killed at the hands of AlAssad's forces since the UN observers arrived in Syria.

Military Situation
- Al-Assad's forces launched a wide-scale military operation during which they fired artillery and heavy machine guns against the Deir Al-Zour's districts of Al-Quria, Al-Ashara, Al-Shaeitat and Abu Hamam. Helicopters were also used during the operation.

- Fierce clashes erupted between the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and the government forces that were backed by helicopters in Deir Al-Zour town of Al-Busayrah. - The media closely related to Al-Assad's regime launched a fierce campaign against the UN observer mission and the UN Secretary-General, whom was described by the Syrian deputy foreign minister as "heavily biased".(2)(5)

- The Lebanese Hezbollah condemns the bombing raids took place in Idlib, accusing the Syrian opposition of carrying out them.(17)

International Political Stances


- Al-Assad's troops shot a group of Syrian refugees while they were heading for the Turkish-Syrian borders via mountain passes to receive treatment. Some 35 people were killed.(7) - Some 10 people were martyred, nine of them of the same family, in the Idleib village of Mashmashan, when a mortar shell hit their house.(1)(2)(4)(5)(7)(8)(9)(15) - Al-Assad's Shabiha (militia affiliated to Syrian regime) executed a family of seven persons upon their return to their house in the Homs neighborhood of Karm El-Zeitoun.(1) - Victoria Nuland, spokesperson for the US Department of State, said that it is difficult to identify the body responsible for the bombings carried out in Syria a few days ago, expressing her concern that extremists might exploit the current instability in Syria.(1) - Ahmad Fawzi, spokesman for the UN-Arab envoy Kofi Annan, said the UN monitoring mission is not open-ended, and that the day will come when the international community says "enough is enough", adding that the international community started to think of other possibilities.(2) - The UN observers report violations of the ceasefire committed - The Syrian National Council (SNC) issued a statement in which it denounced the attack on Anwar al-Malik, former member of the Arab observer mission, in France, calling on the French authorities to disclose the identity of those, who are involved in that attack and how far they are connected with Al-Assad's regime.(1) - Burhan Ghalioun, head of the Syrian National Council (SNC), said Syria's sovereignty over its territories would be completed when the Golan Heights, which are currently occupied by Israel, - The New York Times described situation in Syria as a bloody stalemate, with the West still endorsing a peace plan even while calling it unrealistic, and the Syrian government, if anything, empowered by the paralysis, even more confident it can weather the fractured and diffuse international pressure.(1) by both government forces and the opposition groups, highlighting the fact that armored vehicles and heavy weapons of AlAssad's regime are still exist in the cities.(7)(9)(11)
