    At the October 28,2008 Travis County Democratic Party (TCDP) County Executive
    Committee meeting our membership heard a presentation from Scott Cobb. Mr. Cobb
    spoke to the idea of placing a non-binding referendum about the Iraq war on the Texas
    Democratic Party primary ballot. A motion was made that the TCDP Executive
    Committee support a resolution urging the State Democratic Executive Committee
    (SDEC) to place the referendum question on the ballot for the 2008 March Primary. This
    motion was seconded and passed with only one voting against.

    The resolution reads as follows:

    "Shall President George W. Bush and the U.S. Congress, in support of the men and
    women serving in the Armed Forces of the United States, end the U.S. occupation of
    Iraq and immediately begin the safe and orderly withdrawal of all United States
    forces."
