2012 Howard E. Vander Clute, Jr. Memorial Motorcycle Ride Final Stop: Reno, NV - July 21, 2012
Welcome, riders one and all, to support our nations men and women in uniform and honor the memory of Howard E. Vander Clute, Jr. (Commander-in-Chief 1979-80, Adjutant General 1981-1995). All net proceeds of the ride will be donated to VFW National Military Services to benefit those in uniform and their families. The agenda for Saturday, July 21st is as follows:
9-10:45 a.m. Riders assemble at Silverado Casino, 1380 W. Newlands Dr., Fernley, NV. Adjacent Super 8 Motel will provide a $20 discount for anyone who mentions the Vander Clute Ride. Phone 775-575-5555 for reservations. Ride departs Fernley via Interstate 80 Riders assemble in Parking Lot B, Reno/Sparks Convention Center Check presentation to VFW Commander-in-Chief Richard L. DeNoyer Riders depart for VFW Post 9211, Reno, NV north on Virginia St. Riders lunch at Reno Battle Born VFW Post 9211

10:45 a.m. 11:45 a.m. 12 p.m. 12:30 p.m. 1-3 p.m.

SPECIAL NOTE - TWO PRESENTATIONS: The rider who rides the greatest distance will present the check to Commander-in- Chief DeNoyer on Saturday. A second presentation will be made on Tuesday, July 24th by the individual raising the most money. That individual will ride his or her bike onto the convention floor to present the check to Commander-in-Chief Richard L. DeNoyer.
