AP US HISTORY CLASSES PARTICIPATE IN MOCK SUPREME COURT TRIALS

On Tuesday May 29, 2012, the AP US History classes met at the Federal Court House in Burlington to participate in two Supreme Court Mock Trials. Having worked on the cases for the past two weeks, the classes participated by arguing for the petitioners, the respondents or serving as members of the jury who made the final decision about each case with the Judge. The trials were held in the courtroom of Honorable John M. Conroy. Each class was assigned a specific Supreme Court case and worked on their arguments with four Rice parents who volunteered their time and legal expertise. Our thanks are extended to Pietra Sylvester, Missy Ranaldo, Jennifer Parks and Bill Darrow.
