An offer is an invitation extended by the manufacturer at supplier to his potential and existing customers for placing an order for the product

KINDS OF OFFER
There are two kinds of offers. They are;

1.General offer 2.Special offer

1.GENERAL OFFER
It is general voluntary letter made in the form of a circular letter addressed to likely customer in general including the existing customers. The extension of general offer is; 1. To boost sales and to clear old stock. 2. To expand the existing market.

2. SPECIFIC OFFER(QUOTATION)
It is an offer made to a particular customer in reply to an enquiry letter. It is a specific invitation for an order to a particular customer in response to his enquiry specific offer is a quotation. It involves detailed description of the products, their prices, terms of payment, mode and condition of delivery etc.
