May meeting of UNA_USA

Dear Friends, The May meeting was under-attended, due to the bad weather that passed through at the same moment. Thanks to Bill Bryant and Bob Elliott who managed to attend despite the weather. The three of us had a nice chat while we waited for a break in the weather. Here is a brief update of things that are going on: 1. Ruth Males has resigned from the board. I have sent a note of appreciation. She has done incredible work organizing our luncheons for the past three years. We will miss her. 2. We need to start planning for the fall luncheon. I will start checking into possible speakers. Could someone undertake to contact UCO for a reservation? Saturday, 23 October looks like a good date, close to UN DAY (24th). 3. Annual Report and Financial Report. I have sent our annual report to the National office, along with our tax filings. We will need to review and approve our annual budget at the June meeting. 4. Elections of Officers. Also at the June meeting, we need to elect officers. Please let me know if anyone wisheds to be nominated for an office. See you in June.
