The night we met you looked right through me, As if you knew me, But inside had you seen the life I had weathered, My pains, my pleasures entwined together, A moment in time, a footprint in our course, Words left unspoken to circle the air this is my remorse, Thoughts flip my universe leaving wheels spinning, To tread through life while soles are thinning, Treasures and dreams transcend into songs, To a place where foolishly real emotions belong, How something so far away feels so near, Looking into a spirit and having no fear, Of scribing down thoughts that will take them to places, Perhaps so they can feel the tension my compass faces, Moving onward and sometimes simply around, Im twisting and turning to never be found, Like a feather Ill take forever to reach my ground, What actually happened in recesses of hearts burning bright, Is held by these two spirits as they fly though the night, And into the light.
